  1. The clear parts trees in the latest release of the early B-52G Broken Arrow looked like they had been thrown in as an after thought. Has anyone purchased a currently available MC B-52G to see if the new nose and tail are in the latest boxings? The B52H boxing has the new, updated parts. I'm curious if the currently available B-52G's are a second run and may have the new corrected parts. J
  2. Actually there were a number of P-61A's that had the top turret. Most were not used in combat. Some had the non-moving 4 gun field mod (as used by the 5 NFS in Saipan in 1944-45) and a few were retrofitted. Actually the original box art WAS CORRECT. Because the parts are screwed up, they modified it. The aircraft shown on the box art had the turret . No other turrets are in the box. I guess this is why some guys call them Hobby BooBoo. The kit is very nice except for the fuselage shape error and the turret. HobbyBoss did scale up the front fuselage mistake they made on the 1/32nd scale
  3. But that's the turret that HB has created for their P-61's ! What's funny is, when they found the error, they airbrushed out the turret on the original box art. I'm pretty sure the fuselage is too narrow. The whole thing just feels small. And the turret and fairing are too wide. I really need to find my GWH and Monogram kits tomorrow. Once I have those, the real fun should begin. It's sad because the rest of the kit is so nice. Also it looks like they scaled down their 1/32nd scale P-61B (closer to an A) radome and nose. The new 1/48th scale kit appears to have a little extra length betwe
  4. Received my HobbyBoss P-61A's in the mail today. I was very excited as I have high hopes for it. The box size is only about one half the size of the Monogram kit box. Very compact. The kit looks very nice (except). Fit and engineering is excellent. The booms to wing to fuselage fit is the best of any P-61 kit. But we have a problem. Notice how Hobby Boss airbrushed the turret out of their original box art ? Here's why..... I just moved so all of my Monogram and GWH kits are packed away and not available for comparison. Is the turret too big or the fuselage too small? And the cont
  5. GW shipped the A kits with a gray B radome. GW gray -A radome between the Black Monogram -A an -B radomes.... : (
  6. One other Academy vs Hasegawa issue: Drop tanks! Assuming that Hasegawa's are about the right size, Academy's tanks are almost a third smaller! REally odd looking when compared side-by-side. J
  7. Yes, they are in the planning stages. They were looking for images of the tail section and markings a few weeks ago over on heli-kit news discussion board. Hang on, it's coming! J
  8. Yep, one of my little tabs was broken off and was still in the bag. Should be an easy fix though. J
  9. Thanks for the response. I usually don't have trouble with MM enamels in the fine tip provided the paint is thinned right and I don't have any pigment lumps. The more I think about it, the teflon washer does look kind of flat. I'll give that a try. I haven't touched the needle bearing in this airbrush. So it should be okay. Plus the needle is relatively new. And one of these days , I'll break down and buy me an ultrasonic cleaner. Jay
  10. I haven't had this problem in so long that I've forgot what causes it. Using a Badger 150 (relatively new with fine head and needle) , model master enamels ( sufficiently thinned), at about 22-25 psi. When spraying, the airflow pulses. I'm not getting consistent airflow. My compressor and tank are not the problem because my other rigs work fine. I start with good, even pressure and after a second or two, pressure drops, then builds back up again, then drops, and so on. The teflon head washer looks okay. Any ideas about what's the cause?? Needle bearing sleeve? Thanks in Advanc
  11. Yes, I've seen 4 CBU's on the inner pylon and 4-6 Mk82 snake-eyes or GP on the outboard pylon rack. J
