I have received shipping notification from Cartograf for #48009 (F-4G) and #48010 (USAFE F-16s)!!!! They will be here next week. Once I verify quality and make sure that there are no issues, I'll turn on the ordering links.

Jake Quick question. On your USAFE F-16 sheet the shark mouth fourth down on the right on F-16C Tail 52 TFW perhaps, can't make it out, was there a two seater with these markings? I know Hasegawa boxed an F-16D with it, is it accurate or was it just on the C model?

Yes. 85-1572 was one of the first two F-16s delivered to Spang. It's sharksmouth did not have the red tongue.

Jake, I know you have been bombarded with requests for 1/72 sheets and am probably fed up with them but if there were ever any sheets selling well in 1/72 I guess it would be these two!

I hear you. Many of these options will definitely be available in 1/72.

Finally we have nice USAFE Vipers and Weasels. Already sent a large order and can't wait to have them in my hands.

So, with that done Jake, what will be on USAFE Vipers II?

Cheers,

Joerg

Niels,

it cannot be 87-0223, as the pic shows black tailcodes and 23rd TFS.

87-0223 was only transferred to the 52FW in 1992 and by that time it would have been 23rd FS and the tailcodes were generally gunship grey. AFAIK the sharkmouth was used at Spang only in the late 80s. I hope anybody knows which serial that plane actually is.

I'm sorry ...

I take this picture in october 1987 ... The code number is 86 223 and it's 23rd TFS Co Sqn with blue strip on the tail ... SP, small 2 and 23 in normal size to precise bird of Co sqn ...

23 TFS patch on left side & 52 TFW on right side ...
