  1. I've seen models where the well and inside of the speedbrake is red, but never seen a photo or video of it. Can anyone confirm the color? I have a model that I'm getting ready to paint and I'm at the point where I need to comfirm this color. It certainly looks great in red, but is that accurate? Thanks!
  2. Still looking...I checked both the Testors and Academy windshields and neither are a close fit to the Has. kit.
  3. Update: I took a look at the Testor/Italeri windshield on my kit with better lighting and the fit isn't close at all. I don't think it would work.
  4. I checked and I actually do have the Testors/Italeri kit and the kit is damaged, so the windshield is available for me. Unfortunately, although it's close, it isn't as high as the mating canopy by just a little. If I can't find a Hasegawa windshield, this one would work as long as the canopy was open. Thanks for your help.
  5. I'm not sure. I have several completed Hornet kits but I'm not sure if one of them is Testor's. I'll check...thanks!
  6. I have the Hasegawa kit but the windshield is missing (I do have the canopy). I've seen the Rob Taurus replacement but it's for the Academy kit so I'm not sure if the fit would be the same. Does anyone know of a replacement that would fit the Has. kit or alternatively have a windshield from a trashed A/B/C or D kit and are willing to part with it. Please let me know of either. Thanks!
  7. Reskit and Armory Models each have a set of wheels for the 'A,B,C,D' models. Either they assumed that that the same wheels were being used on all of those models or did a lot more research that me. Since the B never made it to production, one could only guess which wheels they would use.
  8. I know what assuming will do for ya, but I would assume that at the time of the B model, only the A existed. As far as the difference between all of the AF versions, I'm clueless.
  9. I'll be watching for the response on this one. I know that there is an aftermarket set for the B model but I held off buying them wondering if they were different. There may be something on it in 'Tailhook Topics' but I haven't researched it yet. I have all of the other sets to convert the Academy kit to a B model. Edit: I just looked it up in Tailhook Topics' and apparently there is a difference. In one of the photos it states: (Note also that 972 is shod with the Air Force tires.).
  10. I looked for a set last year without success so I ended up getting a Scale Aircraft Conversion set. They have them available for both the Academy and Hasegawa kits. The attachments are different so if you have to go that route if you need them for either of those kits, make sure you get the right ones.
  11. Is this one still in the pipeline for release? The kit that I have is getting closer to the starting line.
  12. Still looking around for F-35C decals and not finding any. Anyone else know a source?
  13. Ordered...glad you were able to do these in this scale!
