This was more than a joke today.
First time that I heard, North Korea make plastic kits.
Oh, what is it.

But on the other side, an intresting and unique kit.
Can I buy it?

The true way to bolster the youth into believing that your leader and his military are truly gods among men. Probably the only thing they can purchase to burn to heat their homes! If you've never been to PMJ you should, it is an experience that will stay with you forever. If you do or have been, how many 'tourists' did you see visiting PMJ from the North?

Aside from getting into the whole NK political situation, does anyone have any info on the plastic kit the original poster was asking about?

I wouldn't be suprised. I even read that they have the ax on display proudly in a museum somewhere.

As for the missile model, perhaps a Taep'o-dong? (I really am clueless when it comes to missiles btw)

Yes, thats the famous tree that the GIs were trimming when they were attacked and killed. Of course, when we decided to finish the project, armored vehicles were nearby as was an armada of air assets visible on the horizon.

Did they have a forward Air Controller steadying the ladder as they were up trimming the tree? wink.gif

The plastic in those bags looks remarkably like the old Revell Nike Ajax. The fins look pretty big compared to those on the missile on the box art. I'll have to dig mine out for another look. Maybe I have a North Korean theater ballistic missile kit in the stash!

Fortunately Kim Jong Il is into making movies, not building scale models. Otherwise we could all be watching over our shoulders for NK agents trying to kidnap us.

maybe since we wont let him have IPODs...he's gonna flood the US with cheaply manufactured, and poorly detailed plastic renditions of his failed missiles biggrin.gif
