DenJuve
It has been a while since i posted one of my projects. So here it is. I'm using the aires pit and wheelbay. Been working on this one since the end of february. Since yesterday i am in the painting stage. I hope to begin decalling next week. If everything goes well. Well, here are some photo's. Enjoy... Comments are always welcomed. Everday i learn somthing new. Eric
loftycomfort
Looking good so far. What markings do you plan on doing? I'm also wrapping up my 1/32 A-7E with the Aires gear bays. It'll wear low vis desert storm paint scheme. I notice that you don't have the flaps installed yet. If you haven't test fitted them yet, I'd recommend you do that asap because I had troubles getting mine lowered after the wings were installed on the fuselage. DenJuve
Thx Terry, I testfitted the flaps and i know what you mean. The fit is.....well, what fit?? After some sanding, grinding and cursing it did get them to fit. I will install the flaps at the end of the build. So they don't get in the way with painting and weathering. For decals i'm going for a high vis vietnam era sceme of Victory Productions. I'm going for VFA-25. When it's finsihed it can sit next to my Acadamy F-18C with the VFA-25 low vis sceme. loftycomfort
Hi Eric, Looking good so far! What type of paint did you use? Do you plan on keeping it clean or give it a heavy dose of weathering? Some social commitments are keeping me from putting the finishing touches on my SLUFF. I'm hoping I can get the ordnance done this week and post pics. Thanks for sharing. I'm using testor paint for the white and grey. For the green i think i will go with humbrol gloss. It will be weathered. But as how far i will take, i don't know yet. I have seen some photo's with extremely dirty birds on them from the Vietnam period. I think i will give it a go to recreate such a bird. And get those pics online sow i can get some inspiration for my bild  Eric
