Rapier
Same procedure as ... Picture of the real plane: http://www.jg27.de/Bild6.JPG Pictures of models: http://perso.orange.fr/jean-paul.bonnevill...t72/page125.htm http://www.hyperscale.com/features/2000/bf109e4dl_2.htm http://www.hyperscale.com/features/2001/bf109e4tropfr_1.htm The second model deals with RLM 02/71/65 - what I agree. But the third ist same as a Profile of a popular German Painter in a scale-model-magazine ten years ago an deals with RLM 70/71/65. What's your opinion?

The Mikester
According to Jagdwaffe, Vol. 3, Sec. 3 "War over the Desert": "...the 02/71 has been greatly modified. Areas of 02 around the fuselage number show where a previous identity number have been overpainted and a large area under the cockpit has also been repainted in a color resembling blue 76, over which has been painted green 70 stripes. The spinner is green 70 with a white segment." They also remark that the 02/71 are very faded. I tend to agree with this assesment of the colors. jrallman
I agree with 02/71. Even faded, the one color looks too light on the wings to be 70/
