Hajo L.
I´m starting this progress report after I have done the step that made me most nervous before I finished it: Cutting away the original nose and also cutting holes for the spotter windows. All worked fine, and so I assembled the vacuformed Fulton Recovery Nose. Everything can be seen here: Any idea in what direction the spotter seats are facing? Flight direction or toward the window? ChernayaAkula
Nice! Is that the Airmodel conversion set? If so, where did you get it from? I believe they also did a recon nose for the F9F-8 Cougar.
Hajo L.
I think so, I got it from a buddy in the www.modellboard.de forum. And yes, there is also a nose for some fighter jet included that I have no use for. HAJO
Fanakit
Very interesting conversion, are going to modify the engine ? they are too short on the Italeri kit
Hajo L.
No, I won´t, I want to finish it in the next days/weeks and therefor have to compromise on some things... HAJO
Andre
Is that the Airmodel conversion set? It looks more like the Falcon triple conversion set - this set had the N/AW A-10B and F4H-1 conversions in addition to the Herk stuff. Cheers, Andre

Hajo L.
I´m sorry that I didn´t made any pictures of the progress itself, here now come some impressions of the model as it looks right now. Camo is applied, tomorrow I´m going to print the decals, hopefully these will be applied on wednesday. Then I have to glue on the props, do some minor washing/exhaust-colouring and finished is the beauty! HAJO
