A relatively quick build (for me!), this was a kit I would never have bought but my wife was unaware of the pros and cons of the various Jag kits and bought it for me for Xmas!
Rather than have it sit in the stash forever, I decided to do a quick build and depict it as the gate guard at RAF Coltishall, this aircraft: ![]() A build thread is here - I was building as part of the Jaguar GB on Britmodeller. Mostly stuck with the kit decals but also used Modeldecal serials, Xtradecal station badge, roundels & fin flashes, MA rescue markings. Drop tanks are Italeri ones chopped down to the correct length. Xtracrylix paint overall. Not entirely finished really - I'm going to redo the 'grass' base and there are a few decals to add (e.g. 'Spirit of Coltishall' writing on the nose) but I'm happy enough with it for the time being. ![]() ![]() ![]()

Proves that even an old kit can be built cleanly and quickly MikeJ |

Great Idea!
I finsihed mine in retirement scheme, with the colours and markings taking eyes away from the downpoints of the kit itself... |
