Hello,

trying to restart one of my jet models stopped before the summertime.

Its the Airfix kit with some resin and etched stuff plus some other scratchbuild.

It will be finished with RAF 54° squadron markings.

At this time I'm little bit disappointed with Model Alliance decal sheets for the Jaguar, because I'll need to use two different sheets.
The RAF Jaguar part.1 sheet has good colours (blu&yellow) for 54° squadron squadron markings but has totally out-of-register stencils colours (no white and poor definition of letters).
Those stencils are well printed on one of their commemorative decal sheet, but on the same sheet the 54° squadrom markings has violet&orange colorus... wacko.gif

I'll post some new in progress in the next few days, as playload that is already painted.

CIAO!
Piero

Snow cats are sooooo nice... such a unique scheme... looking forward to seeing it finished. I have decided some time ago... I'm not building a subject unless I have the proper decals and stencils in hand... it always seems to be the most difficult bit... getting the right aftermarket decals...

Ugly aircraft?!?

I guess beauty is all in the eye of the beholder. Then again the A-6 and A-10 are two of my favorite aircraft. I must have a thing for ugly airplanes.

Beautiful job on the Jaguar. Can't wait to see this one finished.

Hello Piero, with pleasure, I see that the "puppy" going on great!
Just one question: why have you applied the weathering before putting the decals? touches them later?

here we go again... decals are on and playload too.

Some "RAF style" RBF were added.

Now its time to finish the canopy and some minor parts.

CIAO!
Piero

P.S: I prefer to put the decals on model after the washing weathering stage, because so I don't need to take care of fragile decals... after that only a little touch up its needs. CIAO!
