Hello there!

Here is my last build:

http://www.arcforums.com/forums/air/index....howtopic=172921

It was almost an OOB build. I just added CrossDelta PE for walkways and stiffeners and Superscale decals.
Some scratch on the GBU, chinpod, gears, bays and cockpit.

The part wich needed it were rescribed.
But the most interesting thing is the Salt weathering...

Lets look at the pictures!

Congratulations on a splendid build Rom 70.gif

This has to be one of the best renderings of a heavily weathered Tomcat that I've had the pleasure to see.
Some elements of the build are exceptional and I'll be applying a technique or two of yours to my own big 'Cat when the time comes. wink.gif

The photos in the natural sunlight give your model a very realistic look. I'm a big fan of this type of photography so I'm well impressed by the images. Placed in front of a suitable backdrop and she'd be very convincing.

Any plans to shave a flat spot onto the rubber tyres to make the model appear weighted?

What I think you have accomplished above all else is to demonstrate that this big Tamiya bird can be built into a beautiful model with minimal scratch-building.
Bravo! 377.gif

Great overall effect. It really comes together. There's nothing like a really dirty Navy plane!

Great Job Rom. Very nicely done. That salt idea was so cool to see in the progress photos. Thanks for the inspiration and for God sakes what's next?
