Marlin
Hi again. I like to take pictures when I'm going on business trips and family vacations. And so does the IDF/AF This will be my next larger project. The F-4E(S) Shablool. Link to the aircraft I'm going to build. http://data3.primeportal.net/hangar/isaac_...98_01_of_29.jpg I'm going to use a hardwinged F-4E from Hasegawa. To that I'll add from Airdoc, Peacejack conversionset, and IFR-probe. And I'll be adding resin and photoetch from various sets I have laying around. Decals will of course be from Isradecal. Here are two pics of the PeaceJack conversion set to start this build with. I'll of course be posting more pictures as the build goes along. /Bosse Edited: Link added. A personal Shablool, that would really be something wouldn't it. The AM sets that I have I bought about five - six years ago. I order just about every set I wanted in one huge shipment from Avation Megastore for a lot of € So since I got them I had better to use them. The airbrush might eventually come one day. But I'm really not in a hurry. I will never be able to spray in the living room. And I'm not that keen on the balcony either. But hey, I'm going to try a spraycan, so give me some credit, will you? Later /Bosse
tobiK
Seams it will be a nice build! I recommend for your project the 2 airdoc books about the IDF Phantom, they are great! (How could I know!??) Aires burner cans and the flap down set from wolfpack would be some goodies for your toom too! bye! have fun!!!
Aigore
Now that looks intriguing! LOL shooting with enamels in the living room? that´s what I did for 5 years before I got my hobby room in our new apartment. I´d say it´s a sign of real love from my GF that she allowed me fuming the livingroom (we lived in a 2 room apartment then) without a word of complaint...sometimes she would comment on it being a bit foggy tho.... Marlin
Hi, Well the project has started. First drops of paint has been added to this build. I'm starting with the ejectorseats. These comes Verlindens F-4E Phantom II Super detail set. I'm also going to use a mix of Verlinden and Eduards PE-set in the cockpit. The Airdoc conversion set comes with new IP's both front and back seat. I've started to prepare the fuselage for surgery. I'll use Airdoc's IFR-probe. I've marked the nosesection for cutting. But I'll not cut until the fuselage has been closed. I'm also using the KMC exhaust I originally intended to use on my last F-4. But I found out when it was too late that some cutting was required in the tailsection. Next I'll glue the wingsections together and start cutting of the parts thats not present on a hardwinged F-4. More will follow. /Bosse
Marlin
Hi. Yesterday I took my kids to the Swedish Airforce Museum. We had a great day. The exhibitions was great and we were all very pleased with the trip. But it was a full day excursion. I was a bit tried after driving to Linköping and back. A roundtrip of 480 km (~300 miles) But I managed to do something on my Shablool when we came home. I put the RHAW antennas in the wingroot and the IFRprobe in the fuselage. Today I'll try and build up the cockpit. Later....... /Bosse
Uncle Uncool
Hi there, Bosse, my mate! :D Awesome project, bloke; very neat, a quality which characterises yer builds. Those Verlinden seat are really nice - added bonus 'bout peepin' at yer threads is one will learn which aftermarket products are available out there for a specific kit. A personal Shablool, that would really be something wouldn't it. Yeh, I would take mine 'n' orbit right over Alexandra Dahlström's home for a photo shoot in a bikini, now that it seems summer is almost in full fledge over there, huh...? Here it's still not as freezin' as I wished it'd be. It seems like I've been mugged by the lousy muggy weather once again. I've started to prepare the fuselage for surgery. Uh-huh, me sees. Say, have ya bought any new cuttin' tools for this project, banker mate? Yer cuts are real neat. Ooooooohhh... Ain't those kids luvly? Whut 'bout the missus? Didn't she come along for the journey? Did ya bring yer 12-gauge double-barrel shotgun (loaded with Brenneke slugs) to keep the vultures away from cute Emelie? ;) Hmph... clearly, Emelie oughta have taken after the missus... :D Bosse, ya're a chameleonic sorta bloke; ya don't quite look like the man workin' in his den on the picture ya posted in December, remember? No wonder why my ninja couldn't find ya. Keep it up, Bosse! Nice pictures ya've posted, chap. Take care, ya hear? Unc²
Marlin
Hi Uncle. Thanks for your kind words. As you might have already noticed I like aftermarket products. I guess I'm to lazy to give scratchbuilding a go. Why invent the wheel again? As for a shotgun. I did try and get a carrying licens for a H&K MP5, but the police just laughed at me. I wonder why? No new cutting tool, Just my trusty JLC saw and some jewellers files. And the Stanley knife of course. SWMBO was at work while we went on this little trip. She gets enough of aircraft from me anyway. Now lets see if I can do something about that cockpit. <_< /Bosse Edited July 7, 2010 by Marlin

Marlin
Evening Gang. The first week at the Cottage is sadly over. We've had a great time. Temps was over 30C, and just below that in the lake. Our routine was a swim after breakfast, before lunch, after lunch, before dinner and then a dip again in the evening....... We havn't had this kind of summer here since 1994. But now I've landed at the homestead. I'm not going back to work until monday. I've planned a Pub-evening with my best mate tomorrow Saturday.. That usally happens twice a year.......' And since I'm at home I did some work on my Shablool (which means Snail in Hebrew, as I've just learned) Now I've got to do the laundry for the family that's still at the Cottage. Later..... /Bosse

Marlin
Hi Gang. I wish I still was in my duck routine. First day at work today, and it wasn't that fun. It's still to hot here for work. But now it's early evening and I'm at my modelling desk having fun. Last night I glued the fuselage together and now I'm about to do the "Big Nose Job". This is how it looks now. The nose is marked with the surgeons marks. Hopefully I'll have the camerasection mounted later tonight. Wish me luck, for now the scalpel and saw comes.......... To Be Contiuned. :P /Bosse

HOLMES
Bosse./Marlin, Sorry I was not feeling well lately ... The work continues I see. The work on the fuselage is very neat and done as I expect from you..Meticulously and so neat. You are always able to perceive what needs to be done and the nose job is precision in itself... So now you are a Surgeon too. Nice to have you back from your vacation... HOLMES
Qian
This build is rated M18 for excessive putty, fillings and sawing! Definitely not for the faint-hearted! Keep going Bosse!

Marlin
Hi, Since the heart monitoring device is somewhat distracting, you only get tow pics tonight. Pics of Putty, Hopefully I'll have this sanded out in two three days. Then I'll mount the wings. More Later...... /Bosse

Marlin
Hi. It's vacation time again. Two more weeks of modeling fun. I finished the nosejob. I still has to cut the front IP-shroud and replace it with the AirDoc IP. And I've put some Eduard PE in the cockpit. Some PE is installed in the MLG bays. Eventually I'll mount some PE in the NLG bay as well. I've started whitepainting the nosecone. The camera needs painting as well. Hopefully I'll have enough time to start painting this week. More will follow....... /Bosse
