Ryan Hothersall
Got the wings attached today and starting to fill a few seams. Starting to look like a MiG-21 now, Link to pics in first post.
Ryan Hothersall
Airscoops, undercarriage, pylons etc added. Coat of grey sprayed overall to highlight any rough spots.
Ryan Hothersall
Rough spots rubbed back and silver sprayed on. Once that's dry, will spray clear on to protect silver from finger prints etc, before painting detail parts.
CF104
in order to see his pics, you have to click the link in Ryan's first post. Personally I would prefer the photos within the post instead of having to go offsite to view them. It's not very difficult to insert images into the build post. Just my opinion. :whistle:/> BTW Ryan, nice progress on your build. Can't wait to see it finished. Cheers, John
Ryan Hothersall
Exhaust, starting on undercarriage painting etc.
Ryan Hothersall
Got the undercarriage painted and wheels attached, added the missiles, they are spares from a Zvezda MiG-21, as this kit comes with training rounds of the Atoll which had to be cut from the missile rail. Looking at various pictures I got the impression that North Vietnamese MiG-21s only had two insignias plus numbers on the fuselage and nothing on the wings, while others have made the mistake of putting them on the wings.
