Dear all, I have unboxed the very wonderful Revell Eurofighter Typhoon but, being a bit of a thick Jimmy right now, can`t get to grips with the Revell colour scheme for the RAF version. As I work with Humbrol could someone in the know who`s already matched Humbrol colours to the RAF scheme kindly post what they are. Considering the amount of re-casts appearing as new releases of late I was delighted to see Revell seem to have gone the extra mile with this kit (first impressions at least).

Thanks for any help you can give

Cheers, Ian

Ian,

Which scale is this kit ?

I dug this up, originally posted by Dave Fleming, who in turn credited it to Rob Monfea:

The official colours are as follows:

Overall: BS381C no. 626 Camouflage (Barley) Grey.

Cockpit is BS381C no. 632 Dark Admiralty Grey.

Leading and trailing edge flap interiors: FS595B 36280 (Slightly lighter than RAF Ocean Grey).

Intake Flap interior: BS381C no. 626 Camouflage (Barley) Grey.

Intakes (Aft of intake flap - Inside intake ducting): FS595B 26492.

Radome: FS595B 36314 Flint Grey (This is supposedly an FS equivalent to Barley Grey, however looking at the real aircraft it appears to have a slight brownish

tint). I'd suggest adding a dash of Dark Earth to BS381C no. 626 and compare with this:

RAF: Humbrol 167 overall, with a slight tint to the radome and Light Aircraft Gray landing gear and wheel wells.

Luftwaffe: Humbrol 128 overall, with Humbrol 167 on the radome and canard leading edges. Light aircraft gray landing gear and wheel wells.
