  1. Hello everyone,

let's put some paint onto the part's, starting with Mr. Surfacer black primer. Regarding the cockpit i used the MRP-195 Sukhoi cockpit Bleu-Grey color. I find this the closest match compared with the Red Fox 3D decals color.

Also the seat was painted. Detail painting is done with Vallejo acrylics.

After the color was painted it was time to add the Red Fox 3D decals and paint some extra details.

Ejection seat is placed into the cockpit tub. Et voila, cockpit is done, time to move on to another step.

The wash wasn't dryed enough when i took the pic's, so the wash needed to level when drying.

  2. Hello to everyone from the rainy little Belgium.

It took a while, but finally i'm here to show some in progress photo's of the brand new 1/48 Minibase Flanker.

Some say it's a splendid kit, some say it's over-engineered, i say i'm gonna build it to learn about this new brand.

    InPdZ5ol.jpg

So time to start this beast and see iff i can master it:rolleyes:

The only aftermarket i will use is the Red Fox 3D cockpit panels, so prior to add these into the cockpit some sanding is needed.

    36hJlMyl.jpg

Basic detail is nice, but not more then average kit cockpits.

    pPgFD1Xl.jpg

Some basic kit details where glued and after that, it was time to work on the ejection seat, wich will be a real pain to master the pe belt's and seat harnas.

First thing to do, taking the plastic part's and glue them together.

    S4YVjRHl.jpg

Seat cusion gave a little trouble to perfectly fit.

    wsWAh6Yl.jpg

Problem was rapidly solved. Two different slot dept's.......

    egdV5Jsl.jpg

After some minutes, it start to look like a seat.

    doQ5dZil.jpg

    yupswqql.jpg

And now, the most difficult part of the job........... This kit has some very nice pe onboard, a real joy to see how it's packed and to work with.

    NnUmbxBl.jpg

Every pe fret is protected by a thin plastic film.

    kSXaG0Vl.jpg

So now, let's  lose some patience, sweat and weight................

    7xzTQ19l.jpg

Starting with some easy part's i learned how easy the pe fold's, a real joy to work with it.

    9GyAH5pl.jpg

After two day's of folding, fitting and cursing.........this is the end result.....

    u4sFD8el.jpg

At the back of the seat, detail is also very vissible.

    s2Xsxd8l.jpg

Next step, prime the cockpit-part's and the ejection seat, and afterwards paint the part's in their base colors.

    Thank's for watching

    D.

Neat bunch! I really like the Harrier. There is something about the long nosed Harriers that is just "right".

The cockpit on the Mustang looks just insane. Awesome.

    Thank's, Oh yes, those Harrier Gr.3's a really bad-fool.....👍

Danny, anyone who reads about the European Theater of World War II knows of Belgium.  Operation Market Garden comes to mind. Welcome to the forums.

Thank's 👍 Market Garden was an operation that was fought on Dutch territory. combined U.S. and British airborne forces (Market) and followed via Belgium by land forces (Garden).

Greetings, Danny, from someone also on the right side of 'The Pond'...

....I've visited Belgium often - my first trip was to Koksijde AB, back in the 1980's...

....watch the sequence of pics in my signature, and you'll spot my favourite Belgian aircraft...

....one of my wife's favourite places is 'the little Venice of the North' - we've been to Bruges often!

As for famous Belgians, our American friends will probably know of the 'Muscles From Brussels' - Jean-Claude Van Damme...

....but they may not all be aware that a very famous actress was also Belgian, born in Brussels - a certain Ms Audrey Hepburn!

Thank's Andy, great to hear you often bin to Belgium........Ooh boy Koksijde AB, i have some nice memories beeing there at various air shows in the 80's and 90's. Sadly those day's are gone.😕

What a coincidence, yesterday me and the misses whatched a movie with J.C.🙃
