  1. My output has been non existent. To help me get a little motivated I photographed my last two builds. My time has been so sparadic that I have misplaced or lost some parts on both kits. I could have sworn I have recently come across the rear landing gear for the Bf-109. I am sure it will come up.

I'm also trying to remember how I used to photograph these things! I'm hoping to get back in the swing of things.

  2. Hey guys. I haven't been posting or doing much in a long time. Well, I am going to thin my stash. What is the best method of shipping kits domestically and what are the typical shipping prices for 1/48 WW2 kits? Any advice you guys might have would be greatly appreciated.

  3. Agreed 100%. IMHO, these are the best aircraft models ever produced. Folks are missing out big time. I still wish that these guys would branch out of the WW1 genre a bit (imagine what they could do with a 1/35th scale UH-1 Huey). However, if they don't, people should still give them a try just to see how a model aircraft kit should be done.

I agree also. I have one wing nut wings kit and its an amazing kit. I'm going really slow due to life getting in the way but its not the kind of kit I want to rush. I am nervous about the rigging but I plan on taking my time and being methodical.

I'm hoping to build every one of their kits.

  4. I hate collecting any tax from my customers, but if it came down to it I'd want to collect Idaho's low rate of 6% and have it benefit my local area.

This solution would generate more revenue for each state and might even prompt the honest ones to lower their rates to benefit their citizens and be more competitive nation-wide.

Maybe sales tax should be collected for the local government where the item is physically located. Not where the item will end up. Should make it much simpler for retailers.

  5. How is it a form of tax evasion, would love to hear this one?

This is easy. If you buy mail order from out of state, California expects you to pay up when you do your state income taxes. If you don't, its tax evasion.

This might be new, news to people who made these laws in cali, People who just lost their jobs/income, bought/spent a majority of their income in the State, not only at brick and mortar stores, also spent a majority of that income in the town, city and state its self. Housing, food, gas, water, electric, and sewage "necessities" just to name a few any of these things bought over the net?

Really, anyone who thinks this has, anything to do with mom and pop stores are joking themselves. This has to do with other "BIG" companies that eat mom and pops like candy, spending money on those that make laws to help them rid the competition, Yah know like a place that was mentioned "Walmart".

I'm not sure what you are saying here. If I end up purchasing more locally, then I'm helping the local economy.

  6. I don't see what everyone is up in arms about. Every year, California asks you to pay sales tax for out of state purchases on your income tax. Naturally, most people don't. This is a form of tax evasion.

Companies will move out of California over this? Nope, the companies who are not collected sales tax are already out of state.

I buy a lot of online as do most other people I'm sure. This might actually help the local economy by getting more people in and spending money in brick and mortar stores.
