Scottyb825
I'm in the middle of painting up my Academy F-22 and so far its going very well. I have been able to get a great mix of paint using citadels but I have one question regarding the decals that my reference photos don't answer too well. I have thought about applying a light mist of metalizer just to give it a bit of an extra sheen if needed. Should I do this before or after I put the decals on. I know the leading edges remain flat but I can't tell if the aircraft numbers and etc. receive the radar absorbent coat that gives the F-22 its sheen or if they are applied later in the process and should remain flat. Any insight would be helpful.
Mike C
I *think* they also get the radar absorbent coat. I saw Raptors up close at Avalon 2011 Air Show, and I don't remember seeing the squadron markings having different finish from the surrounding surface.
