Madoc Posted August 15, 2005 Share Posted August 15, 2005 Folks, I'm building up one of my old Monogram Tigercats with the Aires detail set (cockpit, photo-etch stuff, resin engines, etc.,.) and am wondering if anyone here has made use of it and what they think of that Aires set. Baggers Posted August 16, 2005 Share Posted August 16, 2005 Hi Madoc I've used the set, it was a few year ago but from memory I think it fitted quite well. As with all resin sets you'll need to thin the cockpit sidewalls and the resin inserts to get a really good fit. Other options to consider would be a new set of engines from someone like Aeroclub, not only will they look better than the kit options but they will also add some much needed weight to try and make the model stand on its wheels.
