  1. Beautifully done and photographed! Maybe when you send in a Gallery Entry (hint, hint!) you can include some close-up pics of the details you added to the inner fuselage and cockpit. Now, on to the Mid-East desert adversary diorama...LOL Bob
  2. Very nice build and photography, Ken! Beautiful paint and weathering, but I especially like the open canopy with opposite windows open on either side, a neat way to allow a good view of the excellent cockpit details Bob P. S. Did ya know Tzefa means viper in Hebrew? Maybe I should do the Viper sports car in those colours, like some have done with the Triumph Spitfire!
  3. No luck. I bought a hi-temp gun for a buck, and removed the brass ball valve so I could push some sprue thrue(?), but it didn't get hot enough to liquify. I did manage to make a little doodle(see pic), however it was hot enough to 'weld' a crack in .030 styrene. Now I remember seeing techs welding PVC pipe with a similar tool that melts PVC rod. Penetration is the key... I'm currently trying out vacuforming
  4. My mini hot glue gun claims a hi temp of 380 F. This is a little higher than needed for melting styrene. I suppose that the low temp might be just right. Might one use the gun, under proper well-ventilated conditions! , to melt 5/16" styrene rod, so it was liquid at the tip. This could be directed into a mold. Anyone (besides me) wiiling to try it and report back, or is it a dumb idea?
