  1. Very nice!

If you hate sanding (as do I) you should try Aves Apoxie Sculpt or Milliput - and before it cures, you can smooth it out to the mating surfaces with Isopropyl alcohol. Sometime you don't even need to sand it, the blending is so good....

  2. knightsinterceptor2.png

The Knight's Interceptor garage kit, inspired by the popular science fiction epic series, comes ready for assembly and paint in the popular 1/72 scale.

    The complete kit includes:

    - Plastic parts to build the interceptor

    - Pilot figure with optional heads + droid

    - Decals to build at least 2 different versions of the interceptor

    - Photoetch parts

    - Contoured and detailed vacform canopy with an easy cutting mold

    - A stand

    - Instructions which include a decal and painting guide

Note that trimming of flash, and fileing of some parts will be required. We can't recommend this kit for beginners - although most Resin Illuminati regulars will probably be fine with it!

This model will fit well in scale and detail with other 1/72 scale science fiction models from Finemolds and Revell.

Available Now for $46.95 + shipping & handling

Shipping and Handling costs are available on the studiostarforge.com website.

    Thanks for looking!

  3. Being a big fan of SW, I really love the scene in EII where Jango Fett is being chased by Obi-wan through an asteroid field - I still vividly remember how awsome the sound effects of the exploding charges and crushing of asteroids were.

That's one of my favourite scenes in the SW series. That, and the battle above Coruscant at the start of EIII.

  4. Was just on the Aerodrome, going through some archived model threads. When I went to the 'top view', to look at all forums, guess what:

    General (40 viewing)

    Models (27 viewing)

Can you believe it? It's damn criminal that it was shut down. But after reviewing some threads, I think I can see what happened. Such a shame...

  5. I built kits for collectors to support myself throughout university. Mainly WWII armour and vehicles. I would charge anywhere between $300 to $1200 depending on the kit, finish required, and extras. I have no problems with the high prices a built kit is marketed for - most builders would NEVER get back their time charged at a reasonable rate.

  6. You can avoid these issues by purchasing 'drawing needles' instead. These needles are used for drawing up liquids, and are perfectly flat cut on the end because they are not used to puncture. I found these out by accident when I went to a chemist to purchase some needles simulate gun barrels as well. The chemist said "we are out of this size needle, we only have drawing needles." When he showed me what a drawing needle was, I took 10.

  7. Cartograf decals in terms of reproduction, in my experience are superior. I think there are no surprises there. I was in Italy some time ago at a printing trade fair in a professional capacity. I cannot remember whether Cartograf was exhibiting there at the time but I was quite astounded by the technology and pride the Italians brought to the table for printing. It was not what I was expecting, to be honest...
