Hi, I'm currently working on the 1/48 F/A-18F from Revell. Overall OK kit, but it suffers from a few accuracy issues. For one, the rear seat has the old D panel, not the F panel as seen here. No problem, as I just finished making the F panel and hood. The Revell kit also has the old style flush ECS exhausts on top of the engines instead of the bard stacks. So.... Are there any other major external issues with the Revell kit I need to worry about? As far as I can tell, the Bard Stacks and new rear seat screens are the biggest corrections I need to make. My question is how do you protect external frames detail while sanding/polishing? If you mask, what brand do you use? I tried doing this once a long time ago with a Hasegawa F-16C, and seem to remember .Brasso caused the styrene to crack. Anyone else had this issue?
