    Thank you! I already bought a couple bottles of Testors Gloss Clear coat. Is there any use for it?

    Sure. Its still good to use but be careful. The Testors stuff is lacquer so its pretty "hot." So if you did any pre-shading or if you sprayed a thin base coat then the lacquer might eat into it a bit.

    I'm one of the few people who doesn't use Future to gloss up my models. I just never really liked it. My preferred gloss is Mr Super Clear gloss. Stuff looks like wet paint when dry.

    Interesting. If you've done nothing wrong and you're so convinced that the people I talk to won't do anything about it then why the need to copy this entire thread and save it? Hmmm. And I don't need to delete anything. I'm not a federal employee threatening anyone. I just made the mistake of arguing with sociopath.

    Taking time off from work? Seriously? All I have to do is take an 8 minute drive to the FSDO on my day off. I'd be in and out in like 20 minutes. Do you really think I have to request a personal leave to do this? Funny.     Gyroscopic precession is the result of the axis of the gyroscope being moved. P-Factor does not necessarily result in the axis being changed. There.

    First, let me repeat that NONE of my comments on the first two pages of this thread were in any way meant to insult you.

    Telling someone they need to put more thought into their answers is not an insult how exactly? Or questioning my CRM/conflict resolution skills based on an internet exchange? These weren't intended to be insults? I'm beginning to think you're a sociopath.

    Second, my comment above was in no way meant to be a threat to you or your career in any way shape or from. It was meant to be a subtle reminder that the guy you insult on the internet today may be the guy you’re sitting to and working with tomorrow. Nothing more stated or implied.

    Ok. So we're in the middle of a heated argument and you thought mentioning that you might be giving me a check ride someday would help settle things down or smooth things over? BS. You were trying to intimidate me and you know it you liar. You just didn't think I would stand my ground.

    Third I never said that I’m an FAA ASI, as with everything else I’ve said here, you read more into my statements than were intended and distorted them to fit your own egotistical needs.

    So let’s get this straight; you a 10,000 hour Gold Seal CFI want to go to your local FSDO and complain that some FAA employee on an internet site for guys who argue ad infinitum about the accuracy of toy plastic model airplanes had the audacity to disagree with you on that same internet site.

    It's not about a silly internet argument. Its about you threatening me. You crossed a line. And yes, you're probably just some nobody sitting behind a desk but I don't know if I have to take this seriously now.

    If and when they get done laughing their butts off and if they don't just throw you out of the office, then you will want to point out that you internet name on that site is a double entendre for flying under the influence of drugs or alcohol?

    Is this another one of the non insults you keep talking about? Now I have an FAA "inspector" threatening me and insinuating that I do drugs. Man, you just keep adding fuel to this fire, don't you? By the way, FLY N HI was the license plate # on the monster truck "Bigfoot." That's actually where I got the idea. Nice try, though.

    Then you want to show your FSDO two pages of that same FAA employee attempting, almost begging you to calm down and get back to the point of the discussion.

    I just need to show the threat(s). What was said prior to the threat(s) isn't really germane. The threat will be the issue (and now the substance abuse insinuation). I'll be the first to admit that the argument is stupid and that there's a good chance I'm wrong...but so what? Maybe they will care and maybe they won't. One thing is for sure though...I don't have anything to lose by bringing it to the FAA's attention. But you might.

    Followed by you showing your FSDO that each and every of your responses to those appeals to defuse and improve the discussion, resulted in two pages of inflammatory insults aimed by you at that FAA employee.

    And that's when you'll say "I threatened him because he was mean to me on the internet!" That's always a good excuse. Should go over well.

    Lastly you will show your FSDO that your paranoia has caused you to misinterpret a harmless comment on the internet, from an FAA employee who has absolutely no enforcement authority, as a threat to your aviation career.

    Yeah, because in the age of ID theft and computer hacking its soooo paranoid to think that my info may not be secure.

    Buying Hasegawa decals on their own?

    Here in the US you can contact Hasegawa USA via their website. Its their main US distributor. Maybe they have a Hasegawa Australia. They charge either $10 or $15...I can't remember for sure.

    I know this because I just received some replacement decals a few weeks ago. Be advised, though, that it took about 8 weeks from the time I ordered them to the time I received them.
