Saw some pics on of a trip some guys made.
A really cool E with SEA, lizard and grey (egypt) camo on it.....all very worn so itwas all mixed up....
Very very cool.looking

No pics atm, but basically I cut a hole in the side of a large container, used some spare rubber profile to cover the edges and stuck the hose in there.
Use double sided tape to hold the mould in place put the cover on and turn on the vac.

With regards to the airbubbles...
I have always used a tupperware container connected to a vacuumcleaner....always worked a treat.

So happy.....I noticed the badly registered stars on some pics...nice to know you'll be doing a great job!
Now I'll just have to finish the damn thing.....

Is there a newsletter of some kind we can subscribe to?
And please don't forget the 'combat tree' stencil that is supposed to be on the splitter!
It's on none of the pics I could find, but both his -D and -E were thus equipped.

Jim,
Write me at fwernerjr@comcast.net. I can help you on this build as far as the armament goes. As I intend to do this aircraft someday soon I have good news for you.
I wasn't going to say anything but Werner's Wings is doing its first F-4 sheet. It will have ALL of the markings that were on Steve Ritchie's aircraft from the aircraft before his first kill to the last markings that we can document in Vietnam. If you can wait for it I can send you a free set for a review of the decals. We will also include some aircraft that a friend's father flew in Vietnam and maybe England. I don't have a release date yet, but the decals are coming together and are almost done.
If you are interested let me know.
Floyd
Good news this, is it just for the E?
I'm working on his D and don't mind waiting for a few weeks......any timescale?
-
And think about it......all this could be 3d printed too!

Ho, i'm checking my (self)engraved Hase F-4D, and notice some discrepancies with regards to the panel lines.
which book /site has the most accurate line drawings?
I have D&S and aerograph/fax books.
tnx,
Sudesh

Hi, anybody have a good colour shot of the top of an USAF phantom seat?
I have found several walkarounds online, but they all seem to forget the top!
tnx,

The Hasegawa parts are too narrow. I was surprised at how narrow the Hasegawa kit is between the engines. You could modify it using plastic shims and two part epoxy.
I'm assuming you're talking about your resin parts......I meant the plastic bits in the kit

Thanks!, not knowing how the navy works I didn't know where to look, seems logical now I see it....
interesting that pinstripe on the ventral fins in that last pic, never noticed that.
More questions from a total noob......how do the planes get to the harbor/quay?...is there an harbor airfield where the ships berth?
