Cheers mate.
Miro,
I've found the parts, do you still need them? PM me if you do with a postal address.
Sorry it's taken so long.

I'm looking for the following parts from Academy 1/32 F-16C or F-16I Sufa kit: B1, B2, B17 and B18, they are the parts for extended tail parabrake housing, brake chute and tail antenna. I can pay or offer something in trade for mentioned parts. If you can help me out, please contact me through PM.
Cheers, Miro.
Miro,
Let me check my kit tomorrow and see if I have the parts you require.

Is the F-16 from Peoria or Springfield, Illinois? I grew up a few miles east of the Peoria airport and can remember them flying P-51's and F-84's. That build would be of personal interest to me.
Darwin
Springfield. Peoria got rid of their F-16s before the TARS pod became operational AFAIK. :D

I think I feel a 1/72nd scale Illinois ANG F-16C with TARS Pod on the horizon, as I think my 3 x Esci/Hasegawa 1/72nd RF-4Cs are too far along to qualify. They have the fuselages together but aren't at the "fit the canopy and paint stage". They have some more bodywork to complete before I can go past this point.

Well I finally bit the bullet and placed an order with Modern Hobbies for some of their 1/72nd scale resin, and all I can say is WOW! Very nice stuff indeed! It was shipped timely, at a reasonable rate, packed well, and the resin itself was beautiful, and quite inexpensive, especially for the quality that you get. If it had been from a Czech company, it would have been twice the price ($24 as opposed to $12 for MH's F-18 cockpit set). So a big public thanks to Modern Hobbies! I'm not associated with them, just a happy customer ;0) Fred K.
I agree with the quality, it is outstanding. I have a fair amount of his stuff relating to F/A-18s, F-15Es & F-16s.
His postage to Australia is very reasonable as well.

Looking good. I have this scheme to do also. I'll probably do it in-conjunction with one of their later A-10Cs.

48013 will come back from Cartograg early next month along with the 1/32 Viper sheet. This sheet in 1/48 features 10 F-16s with some sort of heritage artwork, whether the unit's anniversary, end of F-16 operations, or other celebration of the squadron's history. I tried to make it a mix of old school Vipers along with modern-day jets, all of which have never before been done in decal form.
Here are the profiles. I'll post more details and the artwork within the next couple weeks.
As always, they will be available directly at www.reidairpublishing.com
I know it's useless request but,
"Please Sir, may we have these in 72nd Scale for all us small scale modellers." 8-)

Howdy, Gents!
My Google fu is weak. I also couldn't find what I was searching for on f-16.net or a quick pic search. I'm specifically interested in the following:
SCANG F-16CJ Block 52 - Left side HTS pod with right side Sniper XR pod?Yes P&W power plant with exhaust can turkey feathers?Yes Large or small mouth intake?Small Bulged main gear covers?Yes Heavy or light landing gear struts?Heavy Any stiffening panels present on the fuselage? No Any other obvious specifics to these airframes or cockpits?
Shaw AFB F-16CJ Block 50 - GE powerplants?Yes Sniper pods used?Yes Other questions from above remain the same.
Indiana ANG Forth Wayne - Which block #?BLk 25 prior to conv to A-10C Sniper or LITENING pods used?Either depending on timeframe Other questions from above remain the same.Bulged main gear covers? No Heavy or light landing gear struts?Light Any stiffening panels present on the fuselage?Yes, check here: http://zone-five.net/showthread.php?t=231
Can one of the F-16C experts please explain to me the specifics for these squadrons general differences as they are in recent / current eras? Thank you so much for the assist. I really appreciate you taking the time to answer my questions! I'm starting to become interested in some USAF jets & want to gain some knowledge of what they're flying these days.

I have a Hassy F-16A kit with Norwegian markings that I think would look cool with Penguins on the rails.
I can trade 2 of something from Hassegawa Weapons sets A, B, C, D or E for the 2 missles.
If you'd like to trade, PM me with what you'd like and I'll see if I still have it.
Thanks,
Jason
Max,
If you don't mind paying postage from Australia, I have to sets of spares you can have, including markings.

Here's some of the in progress shots of my 1/72nd Hobbyboss A-7K. This kit was quite easy to build except for the retraction jacks for the Main U/C Doors which gave me no end of trouble including having to replace one with a spare from the TA-7C kit. Now I have to repair the original for my Ta-7C build later on
Whist these photos show the early and middle stages of the build, the beast is actually sitting on it's wheel awaiting the camera's appearance again
First up some shots of the equipment bays.
Undercarriage Bay
Fuel Tanks
More to come in another post
All critique welcome

i bought 1 academy KF-17C yesterday..got any idea how to convert it to F-16C?kinda out of stock of F-16C in LHS here..
some help please....
This kit can be built as either a Blk 42 or 52 USAF aircraft as it contains all the parts necessary including the Blk 42 HUD. I'm currently building it as a Blk 42 from Tulsa Ohio ANG. If you want to build a late model 42/52 you will have to replicate the carbon fibre exhaust petals with semi-matt black paint or decals.

Just noticed this group build.
As it is already up and running, I'll jump in with a Hobbyboss 1/72nd A7K OOB except for the decals. The scheme is for one of the two A-7Ks (73-1008) used by the 4450th TFG out of Tenopah for training and test duties for the F-117As prior to there becoming public.
I'll post some pictures in the next couple of days. This kit was started just before Christmas for my local model club annual comp next May. It is par of a comp where eveyone builds whatever variant of the 1/72nd Hobbyboss A-7 that takes their fancy. The rules are it has to be built out of the box except for the decals which can be from any source you like. Mine are a mixture of a Superscale set for an A-7D of the 4450th and the it decals for the serial and stencil markings.

I want to do an F-15C from nellis with the black OT tailcode. Obviously theres no sheet for them but I know I can find a large set of black lettering somewhere!! Any help would be great!!!!
Modelman,
I have the Superscale sheet in 72nd scale if as by your heading that is the scale you want? You can have the OT codes from it. It would just take awhile for them to get from Aus to the US.
Cheers and a Happy New Year

Does anyone manufacture the recon pod used by ANG F-16Cs in either 1/48th or 1/72nd???? :)

If you want some variation on the drones, Google Meteor Mk U21 for the RAAF equivalent to the U/D16. These were mostly painted in Post Office Red and White. There are 1/48th and 1/72nd conversions available from RedRoo Models in Australia -
http://www.redroomodels.com/conversions.php?conversion=379
These include all the resin bits for the U16/U21 and decals for the RAAF conversions.

I'd like to join with this one:
Hasegawa F-16N converted to F-16C Blk30+ from the 170thFS, 183rdFW Illinois ANG with a aero L'arsenal Per Udsen Recon pod.
Photo of kit and all the extras.
Photo of Decals from Wolfpak Decals, seat from Verlinden, Weapons from Hasegawa Weapons set, and Lightening Pod and IFF Aerial plate from Academy F-16C kit.
Photo showing Revell F-16C Blk 15-32 wheels late version from F-16C Blk50 kit, Modern Hobbies BRU-57 "USAF" Ejector Rack and BLU-38 bombs and the Recon pod from aero L'arsenal.
Photos showing Eduard F-16C update set, Stiffeners from the Hasegawa F-16A ADF kits, and Hasgawa parts from the spares box.
Hopefully I'll get this one finished in time.
