  4. Once again IPMS Phantom Phlashers in Birmingham, Alabama is hosting a show for the benefit of the Southern Museum of Flight. http://www.southernmuseumofflight.org/

The show is on Saturday, February 4, 2012. This is the third year that IPMS Phantom Phalshers has held the contest at the Museum. Simply put, we need folks to attend so the Museum can keep its budget from the city. They get their funding based on the umber of people who visit the museum; the more visitors, the better the funding, and vice versa.

Due to weather last year, we (IPMS Phantom Phalshers) lost our proverbial shirts, and we can't have that happen again this year. we strive to break even at best, and if we cannot this year, we can no longer put on this show to help the Southern Museum of flight.

If at any means possible, please attend this good little show, or contact phantomphocus@gmail.com to help in other ways.

Contest information and flyers can be downloaded at this address: http://www.phantomphlashers.org/birmingham.html

Thank you for your time & consideration.

    William Nichols

    Vice-President

    IPMS Phantom Phlashers

  5. For those of you that Facebook and have an interest in modeling Marine Aviation, there is a new group for us.

The name of the group is simply 'Flying Leathernecks - All Marine Air!'

If you're a manufacturer and have a Marine Aviation related product that you'd like to showcase, by all means post about it there. If you're a modeler looking for good information on a Marine Aviation subject, ask there. If you'd just like to share your work of Marine Aviation subjects with a group of modelers that are specifically interested in that subject matter, show it to us there!

If you have any questions or can't find the group on FB, do not hesitate to contact the mod at the email address below:

    flyingleathernecks@att.net

Just as a caveat, the FB group has NOTHING to do with the Flying Leathernecks product line. This is for ALL manufacturers and ALL modelers interested in Marine Aviation subjects.

And also a reminder: IPMS Phantom Phlashers gives a Best USMC Aircraft Award every year at the Anniston, AL show!
