My favourite method is gluing a piece of stretched spure with diameter slightly larger than the width of the panel line to be filled .
Wait until they dry hard then sand .
+1 -This is the method I like to use as well and it saves on a lot of sanding.

I appreciate you sharing your memories with us, I enjoy seeing these pictures. Though I was just a young kid in the early 70's I remember seeing a lot of these vehicles in the armory we had across the street from my house in Jersey.

How about taking the whole prop off? Check out the link, has several photo's of B-17 missing the entire prop on one engine do to battle damage.

Wow, that looks really sharp! I love how well your finish came out.

Well, I think your efforts payed off because I think you did an excellent job on it!

The best part of the article was that these new bombers would see service in the 2020's. How long did it take us to get the F-22 into production? It will be the 2030's with the way we progress with any advanced aircraft program.

Not sure which kit you have, but you can down load the instructions from this link.

Just at out curiosity, how do you plan on working on a model of that size? You'd need a workbench of a min of 5 feet and several ft deep. Of course painting it would be a major challenge as well. Looking forward to your build blog.

What would be the difference between a 1/32 KC-135 and a 1/4 scale or 1/3 scale R/C plan? I have two work benches that are 8 feet in length for my R/C planes and general DIY projects.

I use lacquer with both MM paints and Tamiya paints and not had any issues with my Eclipse's, both top and bottom feeds.

Actually galileo has a point, I saw Alclad and assumed the metallic lacquer colors. The Aqua Gloss is an acrylic so you should be able to remove it with glass cleaner or Purple or Green Super Clean decreaser. And any of these products won't hurt clear parts.

You have two choices, you can strip with oven cleaner or sand it down and paint over it.

If you make people have to work to find your items, they won't bother. And there are modelers here that do build armor as well. To help you, I posted your link to all your sale items.

This should be a sticky in General discussion. Because I basically follow these rules to the "T" !

Very nice!

I am pretty sure you can, but if you have a can of it, test it on an old model first. Note though, they are flat based paints, so if you are doing a model car you will need to place a gloss coat over the model.

The best way to paint them is to mask them off. Run your masking tape over the area you want to cover and trim it with an xacto knife. Then either brush or spay your color. For chrome, the best way is to use bare metal foil or similar product. Check out the following video's, I follow these modelers on YouTube and they are pretty good.
For chrome;
For painting;

the Hind is Russias A-10 and they are using them in Syria
Russia employed the Hind in Afghanistan in the 80's as well and they got their butts handed to them when the Taliban used shoulder fired A/A weapons.

This has to be the best post I have read in a long time! A lot of good point of views from both the knowing and those that can only speculate by what is published. The fact that it has stayed civil, makes it even better!

Great video thanks for sharing, but yeah, very long winded for something that could of been explained within 10 minutes.
