  1. Me? Been crazy. Averaging about 5 hours of sleep a night. Thank God for coffee!!! Boo-ya!!!!

I took a couple pics of my work table and of the green EC and BK as they're the furthest along. The other BK's are still pretty white yet with the glass being installed and the short nose BK is ready for color. I have the Tamiya tape ready to go. Will try and get some pics up before the weekend.

So there was a goof with the Revell rotor! I double checked everything I did and even referenced some finished builds on the net. Yeap, I saw the difference. This was my first EC. I'll learned a lot from this one so I'll be ready for my next two EC's.

Well, gotta run. Have to finish up some architectural drawings for the architect. We're looking to break ground next week for the expansion at work. Whoo-hoo!

We'll be in touch my freind.

    Hope all is well,

    John

  2. Would anyone happen to have a copy of the airwolf/222 instructions from AMT/ERTL or Hobbycraft that they could scan or copy for me please?

I'm looking ahead on a future project and will be needing to make some scratch parts for a 1/30th 222 I have. I tried getting some parts for it but the company that made it just went under back in Janurary. Rats, I hate it when that happens. The biggest pain will be the rotor head.

    Cheers,

  3. Yo!

How goes it? . Managed to do some work on some stuff over the weekend. Then I noticed I goofed and assembed the EC-135 rotors. Rats! I hate it when that happens. I put it on upside down.

I did get a couple replies but waiting for some firm confermation. Fingures crossed!

I still have yet to take more pictures of the build progress. Just approved the decal proofs and made a few minor edits on the artwork. Looking good. Final o.k. should be about a week or two.

    Hope all is well,

    John

  4. Hey Gang,

Anyone happen to have any spare parts to a 1/32 BK-117? I obtained a BK kit from a kind, generous friend to complete another BK and I hate to waist it. I need the following.

    Windshield, windows and chin bubbles.

    Main and tail rotor parts.

    Email me direct.

    TIA,

    John

Here's my builds in progress. It has yet to be updated.

  5. Yes, those two are my future offices. Oldie was just rebuilt, fully NVG compatible, new electronics, new external hoist etc.

Roger! I might try casting it myself.

    Nice Huey"s!!! Very nice!

Casting isn't all that bad. If you have any questions, give me a shout. FYI: RTV resin will be the only somewhat expensive thing. Gino and that other fella at finescale is a good source too.

You ought to redo one of those diecast Agusta A-109 powers like your one office.

    Cheers,

When/If you wish so, i'll kick it away, over the atlantic. I don't have the skills or knowledge to cast the needed parts, so why stop the process.

Hint. Dowel rods of various sizes, balsa of various widths and thicknesses, CA, sculppy-putty and RTV resin.

Are those your birds? Love the Huey. An oldie but a goodie. When and if I get ready, I'll give ya a shout. Thanks!

  7. Hey John! Nice to see you on this forum too. I never finished this one, it was just a proof of concept... lots of putty, no brains :D However, the shape is correct as far as i went, only dog house wasn't built complete, the top section is missing. If you still want to cast them i can send you the whole fuselage, and you can do whatever you want with it. As far as i'm conserned, it's a W/O and you can have this, original :D Upgrade of doghouse or cut and shaped for 212 would do a complete model.

    Yo,

Awe man, I don't think I'd really want to tackle that quite yet. That would require some time. That's a tempting offer tho. That's very thoughtful of you. Hold on to that. :)

  8. How come no model manufacturer isn't able to reproduce the nose of these lovely helos as it is? All are way too long or flat. Has anyone else been thinking about this problem?

I came very close to the real shape with this expereiment a few years ago. Its an revell UH-1D in 1/32:

    Jure!

Hey guy! You're holding out on me! That's pretty nice. I just gave a friend of mine last year a Bell 412 part layout for approx. 1/30 to 1/32. They were parts from an old Bell comapny desk model. You know, I never thought of making duplicates for a conversion. I could have easily made casting and vac molds. Oh well.

I have to agree that the 212 kits I've seen, the nose looked funny or upside down.

So, finish this 412 up yet? Civilian? Pictures? Huh!?, Huh!?, huh!?

    John
