  1. Do they carry drop tanks at all? I have seen them twice in the UK and on both occasions they had just completed transit across the Atlantic, and from memory none had tanks fitted. If they don't use tanks for that then I don't know when they would. The only alternative would be ex Angels jet being put into a line Sqn before repaint.

I take it the all plumbing is all there so the tanks could be fitted, as the jets are war reserve.

I wondered that as well, but they do make reference to extended range with external tanks on the Blue Angels website (under FAQ's) so I assume that they are capable and do, or at least have at some stage in the past used them.

They better have because I have an awful seam I need to hide... <_<

  2. Hi all

Not the best model you'll ever see - I'm just so happy I actually finished a model that I have to shout about it.. It's the 1/48 Eduard kit.

Scuse the naffish shots, they've been taken with a phone cam.

    Anyway, the pics:

    Thanks for looking :woot.gif:

  3. I bought this kit off Ebay years ago with the seller stating it was partially built. When it arrived, I found that the tail had been glued to the upper fuselage (on a slight angle) and a few bits around the cockpit had been glued plus the exhaust cans had been built.

I'm never going to make it and was going to throw the kit but if anybody wants the kit just for the spares e.g. canopy, fuel tanks or designator pod then give me a pm and we'll sort something out.

All I want is £5 for postage within the UK.

    Cheers,

    Neil.

    pm sent!

  4. i just received an email from Mr Jackson Xiao from public relations at Trumpeter company

and he told me that trumpeter will make 1:32 scale mirage f1

    that's is really good news

Fantastic news! I heard a rumour a while ago but nothing since, until now. Any idea when?

  5. Are you wanting the Mirage and giving the F-16? Then if you want the Mirage it is fair.

If you are talking pure money, The F-16 is easily 50% more expensive as the Mirage. But, the Mirage is out of production (last I checked) and was certainly a limited run kit.

Correct. I have the F-16 but 1/32 is not my scale. I thought the price difference and the relative rarity of the Mirage kind of evens itsself out. Glad to see you agree.

    Cheers.
