Looking good so far. I built one of these a while back besides the boring decals found it quite enjoyable. Look forward to seeing more!

sorted.

That looks good gary. Love the F-8!

Very cool! I wonder which came first - the Denel XTP-1 Beta or this one.. Both look very similar.

Ah cheers Julian - surprising they don't have their own blue tanks. Not sure I like the grey. I may just go for a bit of whiffery for aesthetics sake.

I Dont have a scanner,But I can photocopy and send you a copy.
Pete very kindly helped me out.
Thanks for the offer though!

Do they carry drop tanks at all? I have seen them twice in the UK and on both occasions they had just completed transit across the Atlantic, and from memory none had tanks fitted. If they don't use tanks for that then I don't know when they would. The only alternative would be ex Angels jet being put into a line Sqn before repaint.
I take it the all plumbing is all there so the tanks could be fitted, as the jets are war reserve.
I wondered that as well, but they do make reference to extended range with external tanks on the Blue Angels website (under FAQ's) so I assume that they are capable and do, or at least have at some stage in the past used them.
They better have because I have an awful seam I need to hide... <_<

Title says it all... I'd prefer sticking an external tank/s on my Blue Angel but can't find any reference pics. Can anybody provide one?
TIA

Hi - Does anybody have a scanned copy of the instructions they could email me? Revell don't seem to have it on their site unfortunately.
Thanks

Hi guys. I'm looking for the relevant Lakenheath decals from this kit. I need stencils too but am's are easy enough to source. If you've built this kit as one of the other options, I could use the Lakenheath decals. I'm in the UK so will pay postage and a fair price for the decals.
Thanks - Andre

WHY would you rip people off?
Because some people actually believe absolute internet anonymity exists and they'll get away with it. It's all very sad for all concerned actually.
-
Thanks guys.
Vlammie - I used Humbrol 147 (grey). Unfortunately the pics have a blueish hue.

Hi all
Not the best model you'll ever see - I'm just so happy I actually finished a model that I have to shout about it.. It's the 1/48 Eduard kit.
Scuse the naffish shots, they've been taken with a phone cam.
Anyway, the pics:
Thanks for looking

I bought this kit off Ebay years ago with the seller stating it was partially built. When it arrived, I found that the tail had been glued to the upper fuselage (on a slight angle) and a few bits around the cockpit had been glued plus the exhaust cans had been built.
I'm never going to make it and was going to throw the kit but if anybody wants the kit just for the spares e.g. canopy, fuel tanks or designator pod then give me a pm and we'll sort something out.
All I want is £5 for postage within the UK.
Cheers,
Neil.
pm sent!

Hi
Is anybody able to send me a scan of the paint and decal placement instructions for a SAAF Mirage 3C from the 1/48 Hobbyboss kit? Would be much appreciated!
If so, I'll pm my email addy.
TIA

Hi
If anybody has a trashed kit of this type and don't need the forward and rear canopy sections, I need them please! Based in the UK.
Thanks

Are you wanting the Mirage and giving the F-16? Then if you want the Mirage it is fair.
If you are talking pure money, The F-16 is easily 50% more expensive as the Mirage. But, the Mirage is out of production (last I checked) and was certainly a limited run kit.
Correct. I have the F-16 but 1/32 is not my scale. I thought the price difference and the relative rarity of the Mirage kind of evens itsself out. Glad to see you agree.
Cheers.

Julien - I have the canopy from the Italeri 2 seater. It's a one piece last resort kind of canopy. Not sure if it fits, but as I say, last resort if you can't find first prize.
