Easy change Weapons using magnets

Hello,

Much time now i was thinking how could i changed weapons to aircrafts without having them glued.

I bought from ebay these things (i dont know any of these sellers)

so for the example i used an old 1/48 aircraft....

i cut the thin IRON foil with scissor 

 

 

and CA glued it to pylon...can be painted of course.

 

 

 

with the correct drill bit 1mm i made holes for the rare earth magnets and C.A. glued them.( this was the first test and didnt drill them to the correct depth)

 

 

 

and the first try was successful

 

 

 

 

 

 

second try with a bigger missile....here i used 4mm drill bit and 4x2mm round rare earth magnet. of course you can paint them....i didnt just a test here.

 

 

 

 

also test for a fuel tank at the same pylon(successful)

 

and

 

 

 

 

 

All the tests were made quickly but i am sure you got the point..........

 Great tip. I've used aluminum tube/brass rod (a bit fiddly), and magnet-to-magnet (fiddly to line up), but this seems easier yet! Thank you!
