Ryan Hothersall
It's that time of year, another South Australian Plastic Modellers Association 'Build A bad girl' build. Members dig out an unwanted kit, wrap it up, put a number on it and the members pick a number and that's the kit you build over the summer. Number 6 netted me this teeny-weeny little 1:144 scale Su-27. At least it's the sort of thing I build, but not in this scale. Will be built mostly OOB, but since it's so tiny and the undercarriage looks rather fragile, I will build it inflight, something I don't usually do. Build was quite simple, with no major problems, although masking engines etc was a bit tricky due to the tiny size. Colours used were Model Master 1730 grey on the underside and Model Master 2034 grey on upperside. Decals are the kit decals and while they went on ok, they were tiny.
