Auster T.7

G'day people,

I am currently working on the 1/72 Airfix T.7 (AOP) kit.

I want to add some sort of interior as the cockpit is very visible through the large glasshouse casnopy, and all the venerable old Airfix kit provides is a pilot and a lump of plastic, the radio gear perhaps?

I need some cockpit pictures. The T.7 had dual controls. I am guessing the controls were dual sidewall mounted throttle quadrants and twin control columns (as opposed to 'yokes).

There are 5 or 6 shots of WE600 in my files, all downloads though no interiors, that I can pass along. I have a single open door shot of VF644, a restored AOP 6 formerly used in Hong Kong. It shows control column rather than yoke.

I understand WE600 had 3 seats, pilot and passenger abreast and a third seat behind. I understand it was set at 90 degrees to the direction of flight. IIRC, this was standard?

I also have an old Airfix Magazine conversion article (dating myself now) on converting this kit to a Mark IV. It included a diagram (accuracy?) for the fuselage tube structure.

I first built the Auster way back about 1957 and still have one in the stash. Great stuff.
