John B Posted October 4, 2005 Share Posted October 4, 2005 Just a question on the orginal F-4EJ/ RF-4EJ delivery colors. Was the upper surface gloss light gull gray FS 16640 and the lower color insignia white FS17875? (The same as the 1970's US Navy color scheme.) Are the Tamiya colors that are prescribed in the Tamiya 1/32 F-4EJ kit correct? I'm guessing that some F-4EJKai flew in the older F-4EJ colors during the period between 1985 to 1990. Rhino53 Posted October 5, 2005 Share Posted October 5, 2005 I can confirm that the original scheme was 16440 and 17875, but not identical to the US Navy scheme, as the control surfaces are not white. I have not seen any pictures of F-4EJ Kais in the original scheme, but that does not mean that did not happen. I'm sure someone out there knows better. Quote Link to post Share on other sites
