BjornB17
Im building a modern USMC harrier, and the hasegawa kit suggests light and dark ghost grays for most of the plane and medium gray for the top area. to my eyes, from real pictures, it seems the top of the plane should be gunship gray. which is correct? thanks! David Walker
This may help: So if this is accurate that would be Gunship Grey, Dk. Gull Gray and Dk. Ghost Gray. Edited July 9, 2006 by David Walker
BjornB17
thanks! would FS36270 Neutral Gray be a good substitue for the dark gull gray since i cant find that color in a tamiya rattle can? Thanks again
CraigSargent
The Don Color site is right, Hasegawa got it wrong.
BjornB17
I'm getting the impression that all hasegawa painting guides are wrong. is this correct? Edited July 9, 2006 by BjornB17
David Walker
No, not all the time. But you should probably always have some sort of back-up documentation for colors. I'm not sure that Hasegawa's primary mission is getting the colors right. And FS36270 probably wouldn't be too bad a substitute. It will be in the neighborhood of a faded FS36231.
