  1. The Israeli/ Spanish style refueling probe would be easy to make. Just the probe head and some bent aluminum tube, and then there is the attachment thingy to the fuselage. Make a master for the probe head and the fuselage attachment, cast and copy. Make a rig for bending the tube... The one-piece windshield would also be easy to master. I was looking at the Trumpy Typhoon test shot and it looks like the windshield could be converted as a master for the late model windshield. As for the F-4G Nose and bumps, I have the ones for the Revell kit, and making one for the Tamiya kit would not be di
  2. Why buy when you can make them? For AIM-9B to J use a piece of plastic tube or rubber hosing. Cut to appropriate lenght, plug one end flat. Add a piece of semi-u-shaped wire on the plugged end. Paint the appropriate color. Attach RBF tags. As for AIM-9L or M. Use a small ball of epoxy putty. Place on end of missile. Shape with your fingers, sandpaper or a motor tool. Don't forget to shape the ear-shaped ends. When the putty is dry, drill a tiny hole in the ear-shaped ends. Paint bright yellow. When done, add small RBF tag.
  3. With due respect, we always bash the model, but is the drawing accurate? As for the picture, there are lots of factors to consider, focal lenght, angle, distance from the camere, etc. Assuming that the drawings are correct, the model is a few millimeters off. The cross-section is a little bit off, but will anyone notice when the model is built? The cross section defect will never be seen in a built model. Model looks too fat? Well my neighbor is too fat...(just making a point about relativity here..) I have yet to see a modeling show judge lay the entries on a scale drawing and judge it o
  4. Dave: We are keeping our fingers crossed for another sprue containing other RAF items for the GR.7 release. Check out the sprue containing the aircraft front. It contains the Sidewinder pylons for the outriggers (is this what you are looking for?) As for the gun, as per Dave Mason, the Trumpeter folks are not inclined to re-do an accurate gun pod. I guess we are stuck with the inaccurate gun pod till Zactoman or some other guy comes to our rescue.
  5. Trumpeter was kind enough to provide our club with test shots for their new 1/32 Harrier Gr.7. These are the distinct parts, all other parts are carried over from their earlier AV-8B release. Here is the updated note with the British-style FLIR. I am tempted to remove the FLIR and use this to correct the nose of Trumpeter's earlier 1/32 AV-8B release. Note also the outrigger Sidewinder pylons which are unique to British jets. Trumpeter also updated the bumps and humps on the wing tips. I am not an expert, so I have very little information as to the accuracy of these bumps. Tru
  6. John: Maybe if you ship by bulk..maybe. I just don't know what would be the tariff there for bringing in stuff as an importer But if its one or two models bought here, and use Philippine Mail, mighty expensive.
  7. John: That is the reason we can't afford to sell in ebay. Mail is too expensive. Here is an example: Take a Trump A-7 kit, cost here about P2500. If you box it, send it through the mail to the US the mailing cost would be around P1200. The total would be around P3700 or about USDF74. That would already be the online price in the US. So not much difference. And this is just airmail. FEDEX will kill you.
  8. Hey Zactoman!! I have an A-7E kit waiting for your stuff. Perhaps, in the near future. Must hide pennies from the wife.hahaha Our shows in Philippines are done in malls and the foot traffic is in the thousands. The malls even put our schedule with the big SALE..yep we are their sideshow. We used to have open tables, but we had to man them like we are Secret Service agents protecting the POTUS. lol. People here are just too curious and they would touch or even pick up the model. Notwithstanding the sign that says "Touch the Models, we'll touch your girlfriend.." or something like that.
  9. Ryan: Join our forumboards. There is a bargain bin there. Just post your request.
  10. Guys if you are ever in Manila, Philippines. DO CHECK OUT THE HOBBY STORES. Models here are quite cheap compared to the US here are some examples of prices in Manila. -Hobbyboss 1/72 F-86 easy build P158 or about US$3.50. -Tamiya 1/48 F-16s about P1100 or about US$28 -Trumpeter 1/32 A-7D about P2500 or about US$50 -Trumpeter 1/35 Stryker P768 or about US$17 Too bad shipping cost is terrible from here.
  11. Hi Guys! I did the Super Bug photos. We will do a full test shot review in the next few days. Please bear with me. My work as a lawyer is interfering with my hobby. lol. Some first impressions of the kit: 1. Landing Gear- The landing gear is more simplistic in design compared to the Academy 1/32 Hornet. This is one area where the AM guys will hit on first. The landing gears are also molded in halves, so there will be a lot of work cleaning up. 2. Intakes- I like the intakes. The seams appears to have been blended with the angled sides of the intakes. There will be some lines, but they wi
