  1. Hi spejic, Thanks for your nice comments. Fully agree with you that doing the landing gear doors are tricky in this scale cos too much putty and sanding can obliterate a lot of details. Cheers. S K Loh
  2. Hi herbarnold. Thanks for liking it. Cheers SK
  3. Hi Paladin, Thanks. You have done some great builds yourself too! Cheers S K Loh
  4. This is a Trumpeter 1/144 Rafale C kit. On first visual the molding look crisp and detailed enough with good panel lines. I did a search what other markings I could create and found out that the French Air and Space Force deployed a fleet of 2 x Raflae Bs and 2 x Rafale Cs to Singapore in June 2023. I was able to find out one of the two Rafale C that was in Singapore then. It was A/C 30-GY from Escadron De Chasse 3/30 "Lorraine". The build was almost OOB save for the scratch-built 4 little vanes under the chin. I would most appreciate if anyone of you guys could let me in on what
  5. Hi Greg, Thank you for the nice comments. Glad that you like the finish. Best regards. S K Loh
  6. This is an Academy 1/144 F-4E Phantom kit. I was browsing for info as to which F-4E variant to build from the kit that I read about the retirement of ROKAF F-4E fleet on 07 June 2024 at Suwon AB. 153 SQN 10FW was the last Squadron that flew the F-4E Phantoms. The Phantoms served with ROKAF for 55 years. I decided to do a rendition of F-4E #80-743, one of the four F-4Es that flew the final flight on that day over Suwon AB. The special "Spook" and inscription on the aircraft was what prompted me. I had it modified to a ROKAF F-4E Phantom II with slatted wings and rear view mirrors f
  7. Hi DET1460. Thank you. Yes the weathering can be quite trying to make it still look reasonable. Regards. S K Loh
  8. Hi Dutch. The display bases are off the shelf mini collection boxes bought from the local store. I then search and printed the insignia and vignette and printed them as per normal using water slide decal paper. Then I apply them onto the base and followed by several coats of Mr Softener. I then airbrushed Future or similar gloss coats. This is followed by fine sanding down and airbrushing the gloss coat. When I am pretty satisfied I will buff the surface with Pledge polish. S K Loh
  9. Thanks Barf. Hunters were one of my favourite since young. Cheers
  10. The orignal Revell kit comes with the markings for a RAF 54 SQN based in UK. I decided to have it built as a RAF 20 SQN Hunter FGA9 XF473/V stationed in RAF Tengah Singapore in the 1960s. I had built a Mark I models Hawker Hunter FR 10/FR 71A/FGA 73A into a RSAF Hawker Hunter FR74A earlier (shown in pic 10). FGA 9 XF473/V returned to UK in 1969 and was sold to Hawker Siddeley Aviation in 1970 to be re-furbished as FR74A for the then SADC ( prior to renamed RSAF) in 1972. This Revell kit is essentially the similar to the Mark I models kit and so the built and details were the same.
  11. Hi phantom, Thanks. I am honored. Most of you old hands could have done the same too. Anyway glad that like it. S K Loh
