  7. 11-06-005 I know this is as long a shot as you can get, but I missed the chance to get the Airfix 1/72 Fokker Friendship "Aer Lingus" kit from the '60's on Ebay yesterday and am wondering if anybody here might have a line on one?? Willing to buy or trade, but bear in mind that I live in Ireland. Liam
  8. I have the original MPC X-wing in my stash and I want to build it up. Anybody got a spare pilot figure as mine seems to have been consumed by the Dark Side!!! Also, any chance of aftermarket stuff being available or detail pics for scratch-building?? Thanks in advance Liam
  9. 11-06-05 Just won a Revell 1/72 Shackleton MR3. I think this is the Frog kit, but has anyone any more information about this kit,,,as in how bad/good is it actually....and are there any aftermarket bits available for it?? Thanks in advance Liam ps...my vote for greatest American would be G.Washington for kick starting the whole she-bang.
  10. 31-05-05 Hi-de-Hi Campers. I just picked up the Revell A380 Emirates. Looks ok to me. However, I was wondering if there was any other markings (other than the Airbus markings) available yet? I was kinda hoping for the Virgin Airline colors..... Liam
  11. 23-05-05 Guys, I just got two 1/48 Huey Cobras made by a company called Seminar Plastic Model Company, out of Korea, I think. The plastic looks ok on quick inspection, but basic. Reminds me of the Monogram AH-1S. Anyways, I was thinking they need a serious cockpit upgrade, given the amount that can be seen thru the canopy and was thinking of getting two of the Cobra Companny's AH-1G conversion sets. Think'll they'll fit this? They look good on-line, but thought I'd ask first. I plan to use Microscale decals on them: HML-367, Marble Mountain Marine Air Facility on one and NASA AH-1G 73
  12. 18-05-05 Guys: No man of a certain age who was/is interested in sci-fi can ever forget Erin Grey in that jumpsuit. I kinda like Enterprise and am really miffed it was cancelled, but when the studio reduced it's sfx budget, what else could be expected.. the writing was on the wall. I like the original Battlestar too and am desperatley hoping they do a revamp of the Lolyd Bridges episode at some stage ( afterall, where will Galactica get replacement ordance/fighters/pilots when their own run out??? And Baltar is an absolute howl!!! Never a big fan of Farscape, but from what I have seen, I'
  13. 04-05-05 Hi guys, I think this is my first post here. Anyways, a mate recently bought a Doyusha 1/100 DC-9 in Hawaiian colors and he's not thrilled with them. He's looking a new set so, can anyone point me in the direction of a decal manufacterer who makes decals for these kit?? Thanks in advance, Liam
  14. 14-04-05 Neither of the Vajello lines is "durable" but it dries quickly, so that within 2 hrs, you can future it or seal it to your hearts content. I find that this lack of durability can be helpful especially in the cockpit area where handling can remove the paint, but this can help give a worn look to the seats and components which can then be touched up with your favourite weathering technique. Vliegenier: I find that if you the regular Vajello Model Color (the white cap) you need to thin with water at a ratio of 2:1. This does help the paint to flow a bit better. Try this and experimen
  15. 14-04-05 You have to be careful though as the Model Air line is ONLY for use in an airbrush...it doesn't brush well. Liam
  16. 10-04-05 I dunno about hte others, but I am looking for the Alouette 3 to do the one flown by the Irish Aer Corps. Any ideas?? Liam
  17. 10-04-05 Gunner: The problem is society again. In htis age of over-inflated political correctness, people seem to leave their common-sense in neutral. I know that there is an equal amount of pressure on heavy people to conform as there is on people with regular weight issues, but to ignore the reality of your self and live in a state of denial will not help. Yup, we all the right to exist as we see fit, provided we aren't affecting hte quailty of life of others, but...and it's a huge butt ( pun intended) thongs and fat people do not go together. My wife wasa fitness instructor and she know
  18. 04-04-05 the_baphomet_00 : Heller did one in 1/50? Now that's interesting. Any idea if it's a rebox of the Fuimji or is it an original? Liam
  19. 03-04-05 I heard from a mate a few days ago that Fujimi did a 1/48 Alouette about 10-15 years ago. Is this so and if it is so, does anyone have one for sale by any long shot??? Liam
  20. 31-03-05 Just completed an Ebay deal with Sprue Brothers and won 3 1/72 Fujimi Phantoms. As they were being shipped as one package, the initial shipping cost was wrong, it was too high. Sprue Brothers contacted me to tell me this, to tell me the lower proper cost and to refund me via Paypal. Plus, they package arrived in a bout 6 days ( I live in Ireland). Truely professional, efficient and very friendly. Fast service and great t odeal with. Can't praise them enough!! Liam
  21. 23-03-05 Just received a DML 1/48 Ta-152H-1 from PennFarms73. Trade wit hconfidence people. Nice guy, friendly and fast to deliver. Liam

  24. 05-03-05 Bullet101: Cool, thanks for the clarification. Another question. On the walkaround gallery, there are pictures of the Adversary Tomcat with glove rails configured to carry two AIM-9L/M's., At least, it looks like that. On the left glove pylon, could I have that arrangement?? Two AIM-9L/M's? Liam ( are the AIM-9L/M 's still white?) Thanks again, your patience is bottomless. :P
