Hello all - I was recently looking into expanding my weathering/finishing skills by getting into using pastels and powder. I realized the stuff the Squadron is selling from Tamiya looks an awful lot like my wife's eyeshadow - applicator included. Has anyone tried using much cheaper and available eye shadow for things like exhaust stains, powder burns, oil streaks, etc...

I didn't used to be crazy about the idea of asymmetrical loads, but they are more common and it's growing on me. One more question though - whats the difference between the 2 types of fuel tanks and how do you tell?

Anybody have any good info on Strike Eagle loadouts from OEF/OIF? Starting on the Academy Mud Hen in 1/48 and trying to get an idea about ordnance. BTW, the kit came with a ton of CBU-97s. Not sure if those have been authorized for use in the recent conflicts (not since Desert Storm?. Any experts out there please advise. Thanks!
