  1. Rotowash.....I'm gonna go out on the edge of a rotor blade and say that the bird pictured is a isolated color variant of a "M"ARINE"S" Helo.....could be a UH-1E or D given that the tail rotor is on the opposite side of what a UH-1N has.....also the attire of the men around the craft, for me, leans to a branch of service other than Navy. No clue as to the unit. VXE-6 Helo
  2. Good looking Flatop and Birds........ Yes the second set graphic is generic for no matter what model bird they mention. I suspect when you actually get that set, it will be the correct one for the Bird ordered. Thanx!
  3. In the hopes that this is new info and not old news.....I came across a website that offers many kinds of aircraft in 1/700 scale.......you would use this small scale for placing the Birds on a flight deck of a warship etc. The challange though is how to paint and decal such a small scale of model. Is it doable or even worth it to you? That you'll have to answer for yourself. I just thought I'd share my find. I'm partial to the Birds I use to work on..the UH-1N from VXE-6 during 79' to 82'. The website is http://www.whiteensignmodels.com Here is an example:
  4. Tim and Ray......this was done by a Gent in Europe back in 2003......all the pictures are from the link below....its a foreign language to me. Otherwise it was a great job on the Bird........ http://www.modellversium.de/galerie/1-hubs...uey-revell.html
  5. Tim, when the Squadron Decal is applied, it should look like this.........(hope you don't mind I superimposed using photoshop, the Squadron Logo on to your UH-1N image for illustration purposes only in this forum) BTW the Air Intake Decal is also slightly different in your version. Just trying to be of some help.
  6. Tim, Pictured is the Squadron Logo on the old decal sheet. IMO it stands out as a recognizable identifier of the Squadron. It was on some of the birds when I was there between 79' - 82'. [url=""]
  7. Tim if I may.....I was attached to the VXE-6 Squadron specifically the Helo's.......as I see, somewhat to late, you have begun to produce decal sets for the VXE-6 UH-1N Helicopter. I offer you the link below. There is a specific detail I did not notice on your decal sheet which is the old decal sheet in the link. Specifically the squadron logo was also applied to the sides of the helicopter. http://modelingmadness.com/scotts/decals/super/ss72372.htm VXE-6 Helo
