  1. Hey Mike, thanks for the new pictures. They show just what I expected. This subtle hint of the tile pattern is just perfect, but hard to photograph. I guess it depends a lot on the lighting situation, but in the end the impression looking at the model in person is all that really matters. Doesn't help to exaggerate the tiles just to make them visible on photographs Simon
  2. To be honest, I can't see any tile detail on the nose on the pictures I guess the nose turned out just like the vert stabilizer however, so I'll blame your camera I'm quite curious to see it with the rest of the decals applied. Keep up that good work! Simon
  3. Wow, this looks superb! I have to say, before you sprayed the thinned black on, the tiles seemed to be a bit blueish/lilac and too obvious. But now, it's just perfect! I really like how this one develops.
  4. I'm not Mike, but yes. Besides being able to apply just a very thin coat of paint, you can work very precisely using an airbrush. You can use different types of nozzles for the "gun" and by doing this influence the area the paint will be sprayed on. To avoid the colour bleeding underneath the masking tape, just spray some clear paint over the seams after masking. This seals the masking and gives you very precise borders.
  5. Ah, I see. Just wanted to know why you didn't do them when you sprayed the other black areas.
  6. I'm wondering for quite some time now: Don't you do the single row of black HRSI tiles just behind the RCC panels on top of the wings? Simon
