I feel like that wouldn't give the metallic sheen though, unless IJN Gray has it?
I think that they did the mixes without the metalallic sheen. I think in 1/48 it's hard to replicate the sheen without it looking "fake".

Any chance of a reprint with Academy re-releasing the Minicraft kit

Hi Rob-
I think I read somewhere that they had to make the change from green to white when the war broke out. They claimed that the chromium used for the green was needed for the war, which wasn't true. Is it possible it might be a chromium-green color? Maybe MCW Paints might be able to help. He does a lot of race colors.

Spent some time on the red webbing & canvas seats. I am curious about the nice padded blue seats by the wheel wells. Are those VIP seats? Or the pads they use for working on/around the jets?
I believe they are. Wouldn't surprise me if they are from the old Fat Albert

Follow up, is the interior color mainly the padding, RAF Type S Sky color?

What missile is that on the pylon on the VX-4 jet?

Man that F-4 looks good in VX-4 colors...

Well, unless those people work for Tamiya, they really don't know. They are probably the same 'people' that swore to the almighty the ICM 1/35 CH-54 wasn't going to come to fruition. Remember, some 'people' also claimed the new Tamiya F-35B couldn't be true, because they had already released a re-boxing of the Italeri kit.
If they don't release an F-35C, no big deal. If they do though, I'm going to have a good laugh at those that claim they won't because "Japan doesn't fly the C".
2nd hand from the Tamiya people (which I know isn't necessarily fact), but I hope they do, IMHO its the best-looking one of the 3. But we shall see...

I’ve heard through a few people that Tamiya won’t be doing a “C”

Maybe when the Italeri and Hobbyboss kits hit the streets we will see some sheets

I would like the 2 F-4 Afterburner Seymour Sheets PM incoming

That would be cool, I have a soft spot for the E-2D after working in St Augustine and Pax River.

Well, knowing a new mold S-3 is announced...
Yes please
Also, I think they would be similar, but some seated Navy Helo pilots/crew would be great. The Kitty Hawk kits are back....

With the reemergence of Kitty Hawk kits, any chance for more T-28 decals?
-
Any chance we could get pilots for S-3, E-2, C-2 etc....

Just finished this kit as a side project while working on my F-35. Its not a bad kit, just "old" Eduard. The pilot is an F-106 pilot, but I altered his helmet to better represent the helmets of the era. I had to use needles for the pitot and test probes as I broke the nose one. Everything else is out of the box. Not entirely happy with the orange.

Eduard has photoetched sets. I believe Grand Phoenix and Verlinden both have resin cockpits. Quinta also has a set.

Does anyone make an extended refueling boom for kits like the 1/144 KC-135 or KC-10? I wanna do a refueling diorama and was just curious. I probably can scratch build, but with all the 3D printed stuff, I thought maybe someone would do this...

Thanks to facebook I was able to find some more via a Fat Albert Group
-
Which decals do you need? I didn't use the ones from the F kit
-
Found these two on facebook

Looking for photos of the "new" Fat Albert C-130J cargo area. I can't seem to find any. I know the old one was slightly modified with different guest-ride seats. I was curious if the new one was similar. If I google search, they are all of the old ones, I've also been scrolling through their Facebook and Instagram accounts.
Thanks,
Brent
