  4. Yesterday morning two Eagles from 2WG came in contact in the air before starting ACM training above the Sea of Japan around 10:10AM, about 185 Km from Chitose base. Both pilots were able to recover back to Chitose AB, without injury to any of them. The causes are not yet known. Neither whether the collision had something to do with the training 2WG is now undergoing with the AGR at Chitose AB.

The kanjis on the ventral fin conmemorate the creation of Higashimatsushima (East Matsushima) city. It was created on April 1, 2005, when Naruse and Yamoto towns, both formally of Monou County, merged. That's the date painted on japanese characters (2005/04/01)

Matushima AB has held its airshow this week-end, and one of the machines there was 21SQ F-2B 119 painted for the airshow. Not as much nice as the 50th Ann. machine, but very interesting nevertheless . See below in mr.Kenitch's site for good close-up of these markings:
  7. Former AGR 083 ('karashi') arrived back to Nyutabaru a week ago and has just received a paint job like the one worn by 065, the original 'black' aggressor. See mr. Keroyon's report for 08/25: :( (also note the IFR markings on 203SQ 098: the serial number painted behind the IFR door)
  8. Thanks a lot John  The Solomons/New Guinea air campaing is one of my favourites WW2 topics. Here's a pic of VK-05 with the erased (?) name of Capt KENNETH FORD http://db.st33.arena.ne.jp/cgi-bin/shot2/_img/shot4212.jpg
  9. Hi felas. I need some help with these Ds wearing names of former aces on the strakes 'JOE FOSS' (seen at Yokota AB, 08/16) http://db.st33.arena.ne.jp/cgi-bin/shot2/_img/shot4187.jpg 'GREGORY LOESCH' (seen at Chitose AB 08/08) http://www.atlas-web.com/cgi-bin/clip10/img/100.jpg Anyone having a clue why/how long the outfit does it? Are there any others? Thanks in advance

  12. No problemo, MarioK  Here's another pic (hope it works) and another of a model painted in the probable paint scheme As for the number on the tail, I guess it is the civil code of the machine, but with such a small size, I cannot be sure.....

  16. Recently the 601SQ Hamamatsu Section has started to change the unit markings as seen here: http://www.geocities.jp/madbaseag/airmus/hb050705/e767.jpg And a close-up http://www.geocities.jp/madbaseag/airmus/h...05/e767tail.jpg
  17. Hi Efrainh. That 6SQ F-1 wears one of the various experimental low-viz camos painted in many japanese planes in 1986. By the way, F-2s and F-1s from that unit are now training with the AGR at Tsuiki. You can see them here (06/22 report): http://www.geocities.jp/rjfn1028/page002.html (Note the new DJ 094 )
  18. Mr.KEROYON just took pictures of old AGR 078 coming back to Nyuta. I don't know whether it's going to be loaned to the AGR (the plane doesn't wear crew-chief name on its port side, as usual on 305SQ machines) or will stay with the unit, but the combination of 305SQ and AGR paint is very interesting.... (see the 17/06 report) http://www.geocities.jp/rjfn1028/page002.html
  19. yo quiero ver los nuevos kc-767, Efrainh
  20. anyone knows more pictures or the reason for the paint job worn by the machine in the background? http://www.ejercitodelaire.mde.es/(G)Publi...le/DSC_0054.JPG
