well, the MM Gloss black seems to be working pretty good as my primer for my NMF, as opposed to the others ive tried. Maybe once and for all we can put this thread to rest now!! ... but i doubt it. LOL

Yeah, that would make a nice dio. I dont believe ive ever seen an airline dio before anywhere. I mean at least never at contests or anything.
-
THANKS, i feel the same way about it too.

Thanks Julien. This is going to have like a multiple colored top coat, like some of it will be white, the other NMF and that international orange. So ill just prime the whole thing then. thanks again
-
should I prime my white plastic? or is that necessary?
-
Thanks Jeff, yeah i went and used easy off, came right off... now let me see if I can do this one right. LOL

my 1/144 engine nacelles are all messed up. How can i remove the paint from them quickly and easily, without sanding the paint off?
-
No, you got it right. I guess i will just paint the whole thing white first, since the other colors are Aluminum and that international orange color.
-
im getting ready to paint my USCG R5d and was wondering which color i should paint first on it. If any of you are familiar with this one and would know. thanks all

as i posted earlier, i used various fillers but nothing seemed to help and the seam kept showing back up, well, i think my main problem may have been i was starting out with a too large of grit. I was using 400, but now ive started out with a 600 and/or 800, and it seems to do the job. I just feather it out around the edges, etc.. Just wanted to let you all know that.

Thanks alot Jerry!!

Ill get the MM gloss black ASAP and give that one a try. I hear so many different oppinions on that alclad gloss black, some like you saying its not worth it, others just love the stuff... so i dont know
-
Hey Jamie, yeah, i used the alclad black primer... go figure i guess, LOL

ive put a gloss black coat down, let dry for about 4 days ish, then i sprayed a light coat of dull aluminum, waited about 3 minutes then sprayed another light coat on, and it looks like in one spot its cracking. Could this be i didnt let the gloss black dry enough? thanks all

thanks Mike

if i put the white glue in to fill my hair line crack on my cockpit windows( where the windows meet the fuselage, not a crack on the windows) ( 737-500), wont the glue be removed when i wipe up the excess with my brush? I dilute the white a glue a little with water, then wipe it up, but it seems like when i do, it takes it all back out? and when its all dry, can you sand this? what if you didnt wipe it all up good enough and you have some left, it would certainly show when you go to painting it, especially on this NMF scheme.?

What exactly is PVA glue? I have tight bond 2 wood glue. Is this PVA glue? And I use Elmer's regular white school glue. Which of these 2 will be best to use?

Thanks guys for all your replys, ill try the white glue method now. Pat
