  1. Tried posting this in the buy/sell forum, but this might not apply. Wanted to buy just the flight sticks for the 1/48 P-40F. Just completed moving and these were the only two peices I lost. Thanks for helping me out all. Kyle
  2. Thanks all, I beleive I'll go with just the one centerlined bomb as I beleive the bombs that come with the AMT kit are 500 pounders. Kyle
  3. Were they able to carry two bombs and a fuel tank? I know it was very common to carry just a fuel tank but I wanted to add some ordinance on this one. Would it be more accurate to just have the two bombs or even just one bomb in the center? Thanks for the help. Kyle
  4. Well I'm trying to get together everything I'll need to finish my B-26K Counter Invader (I know should be in the "Props" forum but I'm sure most planes wearing this theme were jets). I read online that the two green colors I needed for a standard SEA color scheme were FS 34079 and 34102. Then in my Squadron A-26 In Action, it says I need FS 34049 and 34102. Maybe different planes had different schemes I'm not too sure. Thanks all, any help is appreciated. Kyle
  5. Well that pretty much summed it up in the title. Will any of the Eduard sets work for AMTechs 1/48 P-40F? Will their P-40E kit work (I know the P-40E squadron vac canopy can be used for this kit). Thanks for the help. Kyle
  6. Thanks for clearing that up, anyone know where i can get that resin nose? I saw that it was from Hi-Tech and I'm not too sure who carries this line. Also does anyone know if decals are mostly made for the long-tail versions or can you find both versions out there?
  7. Just got ahold of one of these kits on eBay. I'm now looking for decals to represent a Dark Earth and Sand Mediterranean camo Warhawk, and now I'm not sure if the kit I'm getting is the short or long tail version. Thanks for the help all. Kyle
  8. Thanks Bill that would be great. I have the regular Monogram release. Kyle
  9. Just bought this kit online and am planning on giving a go with the Cutthing Edge Nimrod conversion. Only problem is that the kit came with no instructions (but with sprues in bags and decals). Does anyone have an extra set on instructions they'd be willing to part with? Thanks to all for you help. Kyle
  10. Good to hear its not ruined. Any suggestions on how to polish it off? Should I just use a terrycloth towel? Thanks again Kyle
  11. Is there any way to get Testors Buffing Aluminum Plate Metalizer off of a clear part without ruining it? One time I accidently used metalizer thinner on a clear piece and it fogged/ruined it. Luckily someone had a spare but I was wondering what the best way to strip a clear piece is. Is there any way? Thanks for the input. Kyle
  12. Wow thanks for the detailed answer. That would explain the lone A-10 I saw too. The F-18s were always flying north every time I saw them also. Thanks for the responses. I guess it could have just about been anyone then.
  13. Yea they were defenitely F-18s, and they were always in pairs. I guess Norfolk doesn't really have fighter wings stationed there. They could have been Marine planes. Next time I'll have to bring a good camera!
  14. I just got home from vacation this past weekend in Nags Head, N.C. One of the best parts of the vacation was seeing F-18s fly over ever day. One day a solo A-10 gave a fly-by. Any idea what fighter wing this is? I presume they were flying out of Norfolk. Thought this may be a cool subject to build with the new Super Hornet kit.
  15. I also saw this plane at the Mid-Atlantic Air Museums WWII weekend. Here are a few more pics.
  16. Anything else though. I've gotten into the habit of forgetting when auctions end and always end up getting outbid. The "But it now" prices don't seem to be that bad. Still anywhere else? Thanks again, Kyle
  17. Anyone have some good suggestions on where to get older kits online? In particular I'm looking for the 1/48 Monogram A-26C kit. In particular I want to make Cutting Edge's B-26K Counter Invader. This being my first conversion I'm sure I'll be needing alot more information during this build. Thanks in advance. Kyle
  18. Well my first problem is that I can't seem to adjust how fine a line the brush is spraying. I can't seem to get it to go below the size of a dime. I have tried adjusting the tip by screwing/unscrewing, but paint either seems to want to come out this size or not at all. Do I need to buy a different tip. I also am having trouble adjusting the amount of paint coming out using the knob on the back of the brush. It is extremely touchy/sensitive when adjusting. Could this be the result of not enough pressure? I tried reading the instructions but I cant find anywhere that says how to adjust th
  19. Did you contact the company Badger? or the person who sold it to you? And thanks for clearing up my other question as well, I didn't think the compressor was broke. -Kyle
  20. I'm not sure if the Testors Mini Blue Compressor I purchased is working properly. It sounds kind of loud but in no way puts out the same pressure as the aerosol can that came with my airbrush. Does the smaller hose that comes with the Badger 200 need an adapter to fit into this compressor? Probably a pretty stupid question but even if it does need one like I think I still dont think it will put out as much pressure as the can that came with the brush. Thanks for the help guys, Kyle
  21. Well needless to say my first airbrush came with no instructions. I have gotten it to work w/ my testors mini blue compressor but dont really understand the airbrush itself in terms of how to alter the spray intensity and width and so on. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys; Kyle
  22. thanks guys i just bought it, we'll see how i do
  23. I have a chance to get the mini blue compressor online for $20 on ebay. I just got my first airbrush (badger 200) so do you think this might be a good first compressor? Thanks, Kyle
