For what it's worth, I am a graduate of the US Naval Academy. I served in a DDG, CVN65, a CG, and am a plankowner of a Nimitz class CVN. Personally, I have some real issues with this mess. To begin with, it appears to me that "Big Navy" entirely missed the boat regarding the COVID-19 issue on CVN 71. The fundamental issue appears to be that the CO raised the issue with his chain of command and was getting back unacceptable answers.
