I'm about to start construction on a US Army 3/4 ton truck used to lay telephone wire during the Korean War. Other then crates and typical stowage, what would be needed? I'm guessing spools of wire (?) but have no clue how to scratch build that. Can anyone provide some ideas? Many thanks!

Steve, what do you think of the sub forum where members can tell about veterans they've met?

Even though I want very much to ask the Veteran questions, I'm always concerned of opening wounds better left closed. I was once told many Veterans don't talk about their experiences because they think no one really cares or understands what they are talking about. I have also noticed they tend to say things like; "I don't want to bore you" or when they've been talking a while; "I'm rambling, sorry." The way I see it, those guys are our last LIVING link to the past. Good on you for acknowledging them!

Do you find your residents are hesitant to talk about their war time service? All the men I work with seem eager to talk about it, I wonder if it's because they want it known before they pass away?
Lucky you for meeting the crewman!!!

I interviewed a glider pilot some time ago but can't recall his outfit, the Ninth Transport perhaps? Anyway, they flew WACO gliders and were winged as pilot and copilot but not qualified for powered flight, thus they were relegated to gliders. From what Mr Holden told me, the guys who flew into Normandy were to act as infantry until picked up and returned to England. Market Garden flyers were instructed to find their way back to England ASAP in order to prepare for an airborn assault into Germany. Hope this helps a bit.

Vodka, there's something wrong with you. You belly ached on a post that got deleted about the moderators. Well, you dropped a few subtly disguised F- bombs and called another member a 'male reproductive organ'. Now you continually get nasty with other members for taking part in a thread you began because you don't agree with them. Now you tell them to "f themselves". You're a jerk.

No way will I ever do this one. Has individual track links. Would like to trade for the Tamiya AAVP upgunned version AND Tamiya M-551 Vietnam version. Your 2 for my 1, each pays his own postage. Thanks in advance.

ALF, definitely ALF! And the very recent Alcatraz.

Seriously, you have to ask?

Some people eat their corn on the cob left to right, others right to left. So what?

Mingwin, the forum is here to help others. Many people prefer to hear directly from others rather then read "how to do..." Give the kid a break and don't be such an a$$. If 25 questions in 4 days bother you, don't read them!

I think they will fit but want to hear from those who know. Will the mask for a Hasegawa 1:32 P-40K fit on the same make and scale P-40 E? Thanks for any help.
