I dont see the chaff dispensers, just an empty panel. I ended up getting some items today on sprue brothers. Reskit centerline pylon, Reskit bomb racks and pylons. So there isnt any chance the F-111A's in Vietnam used the ALQ 119 ECM pod? Have the ALQ 87 pod from a Hasegawa weapons kit, just thought the 119 pod would be an option

Just got this kit today. looks pretty nice. Have a couple of questions though. 1- What kind of ECM pods did it carry? I can only come up with ALQ 87 ECM pod. Kit came with a shorter version of the ALQ 184 looks like 2- Kit also came with separate chaff and flare dispensers. Would a F-111A operating in Linebacker 2 have these dispensers installed in 1972? I was just wondering if ECM pods carried on say a F-16, A-10C, etc... Can be used to jam air to air radar guided missiles fired from enemy aircraft? Thanks Jeff

Hey Solo, not trying to hijack your thread, just want to piggy back on it a bit. Does anyone know if ECM pods on say F-16s, A-10s or any other aircraft that carries them, do they also have the ability to jam air to air radar guided missiles? The F-16 can carry so many types of ordinance, Id say leave it up to the modeler to decide what goes on it, within reason and some sort of reality of course. Modelers prerogative

I was curious about something in regards to this missile. Do pilots have to have the JMHCS helmet to fire this weapon? I know it is a hi off angle capable weapon and that helmet will help to lock it on to another aircraft that is not directly in front of it. I see F22 Raptors with the AIM 9X missile being loaded but the pilots flying the F22 dont wear the JMHCS helmet that I am aware of. Maybe they do now but not sure. Im currently working on a Tamiya F-16C block 42 in 1/48. Planning on doing a block 30 next. It will either be Texas ANG aircraft or a Colorado ANG aircraft. I know on the block 40 and 42 use the heavier landing gear with the landing light transferred to the front landing gear door. Also they placed it there because the Litening or Sniper targeting pod blocks the landing lights in the rear main landing gear. Block 30 still uses the landing gear lights on the main landing gear. I will be using a targeting pod on this one to. Should the landing light be on the front landing gear door like the blo

I have heard that on the American F-15EX that those sensor pods right below the canopy, don't have anything in them. Only on the export versions have various sensors put in them

Do any of you guys think someone will come out with an F-15EX model in 1/48 scale at some point? I think someone makes one in 1/72 scale but not 100% sure. Any conversion kits out there that would male a good EX kit? Thanks Jeff

Does the Isreali Air Force use the small diameter bomb GBU 39's? I know they use the standard GBU JDAM munitions. Wasnt sure if they used those or not. What about JSOW's? Thanks Jeff
