Yo ! I'll take the P-40 with the skull on the engine !

Here's my final "no fuss" build. It's a Pantera kit reboxed by Mastercraft. I loved the NMF finish of the depicted Fitter prototype so I had to build this little kit. The surface details have been made by the Polish Drunk Riveter (a friend of Lesney's Mad Trench Digger) as no consecutive rivets are properly aligned. Detailing is very poor and there are some accuracie issues (shape of the engine area, missing underwing pylons, missing camera window in the nose, blablabla). Still, it's look like a Su-17/22 as long as you don't look at it for too long .

Hello Istvan. Here. Have a closer look. The paint job doesn't look as nice but you can see the technique employed: Pass diluted paint along the demarkation line between two colors. It's looks pretty effective if you're not too close from the model. Bonus: The pylons were made of black plastic and with raised panel lines. I've painted the pylons and sanded them a bit to remove some paint.

Hello again. Here's my Matchbox SLUF. Brush painted with Lifecolor paint. Matchbox's A-7 isn't among their best kits at all. I started it so I HAD to finish it. The Mad Trench Digger must have had a great time on this kit and something is wrong in the shape of the nose. Wings can be folded but it's better to paste them in position. Otherwise, the Corsair will look like a TSR-2 :unsure: The bomb where so terrible that I turned them into training rounds (are the colors right ?). Feel free to make any comments. Laurent

Hello guys. Here are some pictures of an not too recent build of mine. I'm a MiG-21 fan but I wanted to put the inaccuracies issues aside and build a good ol' Matchbox kit. The MF/bis Matchbox kit release follow their first MiG-21 kit (boxart: An NMF MiG-21 PF/PFM on a runway). In the old release, the fuselage was 1 - 1.5 cm too long and the canopy was badly mishapen. Matchbox retooled the fuselage and canopy parts to change the version depicted but that's all: Nothing to hang under the wing, there's only a centerline tank to stick under the fuselage. Very nice ! <_< I've heard that the Tempest kit is among the good kits made by Matchbox. The panel lines don't look like they're too deep. Nostalgia led me to build Matchbox kit (MiG-21 "MF", A-7D, working on a Mirage III... could send some pics). Would it be a good idea to start a Matchbox Groupbuild ?
