Models of UAVs are few and far between. The number of options in 1/48 scale can just about be counted on one hand. As they become more prevalent in both military and civilian service hopefully we’ll see more kits become available. Muroc Models just produced a very nice conversion set to make the six-engine YRB-49A Flying Wing from the old AMT 1/72 YB-49 kit. This has been the missing Wing in my collection for many years. As can be expected from Muroc Models, the parts fit is excellent and castings are flaw free. Most of the work is getting the kit parts to fit correctly. So far, it's been a pretty easy build. Many thanks to David Newman at Muroc Models for producing such a nice set that's long overdue.
