Today's Wellington

Recommended Posts

Good to see one of these kits built up already. I have a question though.

Both ailerons are in the positioned in the 'down' position. These controls normally operate differentially, ie when one goes up, the opposite aileron simultaneously moves down. Some aircraft are fitted with 'flaperpons' in which case, the ailerons can be drooped, but will still function differentially.

Did the Wellington have flaperons? I didn't think it did, but I am prepared to be corrected by those 'in the know',

cheers,

Pappy

Danged if I know, Thats what the customer wanted so thats how I built it. Nice thing is they are still positionable so he can adjust it if he wants.

Oh well, I guess the customer is always right (except when he isn't!), thanks for posting the build,

Pappy
