trainguy
as well as building a/c,i also do HO scale trains.inside the loco is a decoder.said decoder will fit the engine stated on the package.nmra(national model railroad association) states that the decoder will fix in loco with no problems.i dont know how many time i have read how the modler has sanded and filed just to make the resin part fit.i think its time for the resin makers to step up and cast the part with no sanding or filing. phantom
Might be kind of hard to remove the resin from the casting area without a tab to hold onto.
pigsty
Some do fit with no adjustment - for instance, NeOmega cockpits - so it can't be impossible. But there will always be areas where the resin casting technique requires more material than the space available - for instance, undercarriage bays in thin wings - so we'll have to either (i) accept a minor inconvenience and use our modelling skills, or (ii) ask the manufacturers to whittle down the parts before they sell them, or (iii) ask the manufacturers to move to injected resin, and in (ii) & (iii) we'll have to accept the higher price that will result.
