strictlyscale
Can anyone recomend a good set of scale dwgs for the Blackburn Buccanner? Looking for something that shows numberous fuselage/wing sections for the purpose of building a model from scratch. The cleaner and more detailed the better. Dwg will be scanned and scaled up in CAD. Also, any good books on the subject or larger plastic kit leads would be helpful. Thanks for any suggestions.

Rhino53
One good book is by the Aviation Workshop Publications Ltd, called on Target Spotlight 2 Blackburn Buccaneer. Website here It has lots of plans and walkround photos, so it should do what you want. Details on the book here Edited October 24, 2010 by Rhino53
strictlyscale
Guys, Thanks for the leads. I went ahead and ordered that book. I also found a good dwg here: http://www.airwar.ru/other/draw/buccanier.html Took a little work to convert the file, but it's a good one. It appears that only airfix made a 1:48 scale kit for this aircraft. Anyone know where one can be purchased? Thanks, Sean
Rhino53
There was another kit from long ago, by a British firm called Dynavector. As memory serves, they did vac form kits with some white metal parts. Can't help any more than that unfortunately.

strictlyscale
Trumpeter has a 1/32 Buccaneer in the works.Jari Any idea when it should be released? I saw pics from January that made it look like it was nearing completion. I saw the same pics in a recent SAM magazine. Attached is a picture similar to what I'd like to create as a flying model. At the moment leaning toward a 66" span, about 90+" long.
Finn
Except for pics of the test shot awhile back, nothing has been heard of it since. Jari
